**What to Expect? ** ​***"The Experience"***? It is just that. You can expect fine bed linen, a comfy electric heated blanket, scented candles, a spa-like ambiance, a heated wood-burning stove, various textures pleasing to the touch and eyes; and quiet with superb customer service.

​***The 16' heated tent ***and the open communal area are where you'll spend the majority of your time either lying on the hammock with a throw next to the fire pit, sitting on the Adirondack chairs, playing corn hole, soaking in the hot tub, or staying inside listening to the rain while lying in bed and enjoying the sounds of the blue jays and crickets in a heated tent. There is a cute small refrigerator to store a few cans of soda or bottled water, a tea kettle to make your own coffee/tea/hot chocolate, a French press (coffee, creamer, and sugar provided) an electric double-burner to make a light breakfast, warm popcorn, etc. The Master Suite tent will include one Queen size bed covered with a Queen egg crate foam topper and may be draped in a well-fitted microfiber sheet set or 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, to make your sleeping experience like a fancy hotel in Times Square (you know the one with one letter).

Be advised there is a camera in the courtyard/tent area overlooking the courtyard and a motion sensor for added security on the premises, and the train track is a few blocks away and you will hear it at some point during your stay (typically 2000-2200 hours) but it adds a rural country feel along with the crickets orchestrating the woodsy sound.

Amazing camping spot on 8-acre pond. Front row seat for viewing nature, including an abundance of wildlife. Ducks, geese, herons, hawks, bald eagles and many other species of birds frequent the pond. Beaver huts are visible from your site and you may even catch a glimpse of the river otters that play in the pond too. Also included, the sights and sounds of a working farm up the hill. From the moment you drive on to this wonderful farm, you will know you have arrived at your home away from home. 54 acres of fields, oak fences, barns, buildings, sawmill, 8-acre fully stocked pond w/dock and a farmhouse built in 1913. The farm is multi-faceted employing regenerative practices that maintain crops and animals without use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Farm animals include beef cattle, goats, chickens, turkeys, horses and a donkey named Mozart. Farm tour included in your visit!

Secluded campsite next to the pond in a small hay pasture. 

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided (you___re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting 
-Firewood for the campfire

Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!


Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Self Check-In: to limit the potential impact of community spread, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. If you need any assistance, you can reach out to your host through the contact information provided in your confirmation email. Do make yourself at home down by the pond and enjoy the areas designated for campers. Do not interact with the animals and enter buildings and places that have not been designated for campers. The place where the first permanent British colony in mainland North America was founded in 1607, Virginia is a state with an exceptional history and abundant natural attractions. From colonial towns and Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields to various Presidential Homes, including one that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, history is never far away when camping in Virginia. Nature, too, is an intricate part of Virginia’s state identity.


On the coast, you’ll find several state parks and wildlife refuges. Additionally, there are significant historic sites such as Colonial National Historical Park, which includes Historic Jamestown and the Yorktown Battlefield.
Across Chesapeake Bay, a calm wave-less bay, lie popular Cape Charles and glorious Assateague Island National Seashore with its feral horses galloping along the beaches. All around Chesapeake Bay, extensive sand beaches and shallow water attract huge crowds of sunbathers and families camping in Virginia over Summer break.
