Barnyard

This Campground is well maintained with level pull through sites. No frills like a pool but it's easy access. Congaree National Park Fort Jackson are nearby. Columbia is a neighboring city. They have a large flea market next door.

Nice place, definitely has potential

Still being upgraded, so newish pad was still soft but pretty level. Sewer pipes stick out a good 6 or 8 inches. Electric posts are new but have a meter right below plugs, so surge suppressor gets to hang sideways. All nice and new. Will try again in future as it keeps improving

We just…

It’s a great campground

Great little campground, my wife and I just moved into our RV and this our first stop. Super quiet and nice; not weigh in much of amenities other than the bathhouse in the washer and dryer and Wi-Fi. Campground host is super nice though his name is Dale. Will definitely be here for a while

Unplanned Stop

After a long day of battling our Jeep still suffering from a bad repair job. We made our reservation via the river pass site; easy to book and quickly confirmed. Upon arrival Joe greeted us a smile and a pun, assisted with our set up, even invited us to poker night!

Since we booked so late our…

Nice

All sites are back in but very big so easy to get in. Great wifi. Streaming was no problem. Simple but had everything and was clean.

Favorite Park

If you love the water this is the perfect park for you. With its own beach and multiple boat ramp areas, this park makes the perfect transition for camping and waterplay. Kayaking and yoga as the sun rises over the water could not of been more perfect.

Nice weekend getaway

We camped for a night here and explored some of the hiking trails that surrounded the lake. Some of the sites are pretty secluded from each other, especially the one we were at (39).

Relaxing, Peaceful, quaint

I have stayed that this park 3 or 4 times.  I have always been made to feel at home.  It is a park that is located within the city and not out in the country so you must understand its location but for us it is a nice friendly place to stop, rest and have a relaxing time.  I would recommend it if…

Beautiful but horrible

Absolutely the worst camping experience we have ever had! We have camped all over this beautiful country in all types of campgrounds from ones with full services to dispersed/primitive areas and everything in between and have never experienced such horrible conditions and staff. The couple that…

I wish we would have come here sooner!

We got to this wonderful campground on a Monday afternoon and left Friday morning and it was probably no more than 75% full that week.  It was super quiet and well-maintained.  The 72,000 acre lake is clear and clean and is great for boating, kayaking, fishing or swimming.  My husband caught and…

Mistletoe State Park is a jewel in Georgia

We spent a couple of nights in Mistletoe State Park in Georgia while we investigated my husband's ancestry.  This park is truly beautiful. As you enter and drive through the park you are surrounded by virgin forest and arrive at beautiful Lake Thurmond.  Our campsite was the best we have ever had…

Weekender spot

Pull-up RV or tent spots with fire pits and picnic tables. There are also a few cabins available to rent. To use the boat launch it costs $5.

There's a small restaurant located onsite along with a small store. Nice walking trails which makes this a great getaway spot.

Watch out for the ants!

Two sites share a common drive and it’s very difficult to get into and out of your site without using the other site’s parking area! At least for a novice to trailer camping. Our site was overrun with sugar ants. They were on and in everything! Pretty lake but I won’t go there again

Beautiful views and large spaces

Stayed at hamilton branch this past weekend. Loved the big sites. Only downside was the site we stayed on was site 42 the water connection is too far away so you must have a very long hose pipe. And poison oak surrounds the entire site. Other than that it was nice and peaceful. Look forward to…
