Solid choice for camping in ANF

This Koa is above average for KOA campgrounds. My biggest complaint is the sites are very close and offer little privacy

Nice place minus seasonals

The camp ground is not bad. Nice place over all. The pool is very nice, playgrounds for the kids and activities to do. Very friendly staff. However the seasonal campers seem to have some sort of entitlement. That is very annoying. Very loud and obnoxious which unfortunately has ruined our stay. I’m…

Nice place

Initially we booked site 97. Upon arrival we found out that 97 is no longer a camp site. We were moved to site 14 thankfully they had one spot available for a fully booked weekend.

Our site 14 was nice and large had some shade from trees. The camp ground had trash cans available in multiple…

Incredible waterfalls and campground!

We loved sugar creek glen! The owners were super friendly and helpful! There is a beautiful waterfall and creek in the middle of the campground. We were able to hike and climb up to more falls and swimming holes when the creek level came down one day. Other days we couldn’t due to high creek…

Unexpected Surroundings

In most states, those without falls like Niagara, this state park would be the pride of the land. With three serious drops in as many miles, the Genesse River winds it’s way through what locals call the “Grand Canyon of the East.” Many states try to make such claims, but this might be the closest…

Quiet, great staff

We stayed here at the end of June for a long weekend.  The grounds were well kept and the staff was nice.  When we arrived on Friday afternoon there were a few other campers in our area (Labrador Wolf Loop).  By Friday evening all of the spots were occupied.  Despite all of the occupied sites, it…

Wow

Just got the pop up this year and have already done 4 trips this was by far the best. So much for the kids to do with splash pad, pool, playground and Rec room. Worth every penny ty.

Resort like campground

This campground is very well taken care of, and huge! We did not take advantage of all of the amenities available, but the bathroom was great. It was a single room with toilet and shower - and it was incredibly clean.

We opted for a premium pull-thru site, which included furniture and a…

Wet and Soggy 4th

Sites here were very wet and really didn't dry out after a warm sunny day. Seems to be a spot for locals. Very loud and noisy. The recreation area was cool. Playgrounds were nice in both camping and Rec areas. Bathrooms/showers were on par for a state park. Sites need some maintenance and some are…

Plenty to do but cramped

The campground has tons of stuff to keep the kids busy on site. Although the area is very hilly so you will have to drive them to the areas of interest. There is a Bar with live music and food on the weekends. Lots of seasonal people and the sites are tight so there is a good amount of people, if…

Allegany, Quaker Lake

Went in June, they were basically just opening. Grass wasn’t cut, got nasty bites from chiggers. Quaker store had essential gear but it was left over from last season. Just wouldn’t recommend going in June. Save it for July or August.

Loud highway, unclean bathrooms, poor tent site, easy access to Niagara

KOAs aren't my first choice - I don't use the extra amenities and the tent sites are often pretty out in the open. That said, usually I am happy enough with what I get and can count on almost always get a site last minute. This KOA was terrible -- the tent sites didn't have the standard nice flat…

Hidden gem

My husband and I just got our first camping setup (tent). Letchworth was a wonderful first experience together. The campground can be almost 15 miles from the entrance of the park at points, but we just asked someone at the visitors center and found it easily after that. The restrooms are all well…
