Had a great time. The sites are very spacious. Bathrooms and showers fine. Very pretty. Learned this is a BIG lake, for motor boats, not really for kayaks.

Fish Creek Pond Campground
My new favorite place!
This was one the the best camping experiences yet. The sites are great, right on the water with easy access to get Kayaks in. Loons on the lake wake you, so peaceful and beautiful. Plenty of room between neighbors. You can hang out in a floatie in front of you site, or kayak down the awesome creek. Bathrooms okay, showers clean with hot waters, but you do have to drive to them. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Great for tourists , kids, golf carts and parties
The bathrooms were nice and clean and the pool looked nice. Mostly seasonal campers and Cooperstown tourists. Very crowded and packed into spots tight. The golf carts are out of control…flying by, loud music and flashing lights until midnight. Even the amount of traffic coming in and out of the campground went on until midnight with head lights shining in camper windows. I will take being woken to loons on the lake any day, this was loud and crowded.

Beautiful and well kept campground. Stayed right on the river and was beautiful. Full hookups was nice. Nice campground if you have kids. Only downside is you are very close to the site next to you.

This is a very nice campground but it is not at Lake George. It is about 25 min to Lake George Village. We had no trouble getting level and the bathhouse was very nice and CLEAN! The owners are very friendly and receptive to suggestions.

Riverside view worked great
Originally we reserved mountain view. It waa getting ready to rain...alot for 1 - 1/2 days. The mountain views didn't have gravel, but hard dirt. However beautiful shady areas (we drove thru the another day to check it out) looked nice, but it's hard to imagine on the side of hills to level 🤷🏼♀️
We really like the riverside view..it's across the street & about 300' down the street.
But is a great location for places to go & things to see. A few Miles from Whiteface mtn & about 15 min to downtown Lake Placid.

One of my BEST stops!!
I’m a tent camper…alone…82yo…looking for peace and quiet…relaxation…no crowds…fishing…clean shower and toilet…electricity…fresh water…good food…good entertainment…good fishing…friendly and helpful staff…somewhat isolated…remote…forest. Well, Cool Lea had it all!! Lois and Billy treated me like I was a VIP…they are terrific! Lois even hooked me up with another tenant who took me fishing on his pontoon…3 days in a row. TY Lois and Dan.
There was great home cooked meals…I had the haddock and fries two days in a row…yummy!! There was live entertainment…a modern rock n roll group that was outstanding…really talented!! It was July, 95 during the day…so the tent was a little uncomfortable…😳. TG for the guy who invented the DC fan!!
