In the rolling, forested landscapes around Pulltite Campground, two of America's most beautiful spring-fed rivers combine to make up the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. As the first national park area to protect a wild river system, visitors have plenty of scenic water activities to enjoy as well as hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Recreation The Current River flows past the campground, offering excellent canoeing, tubing, swimming and fishing. Over 130 miles of waterways exist within the park. Canoe and kayak rentals and outfitters can be found nearby. The historic Pulltite Cabin is across the river from the campground. The only way to see the cabin is by boat or by wading across the river. The cabin is next to scenic Pulltite Spring, for which the campground is named. Several miles of hiking and horseback riding trails crisscross the region, include the Alley Overlook Trail, Chubb Hollow Trail, Ozark Trail, Cave Spring Trail and Big Springs Trail. Facilities This year-round campground has flush toilets and showers facilities available April 15 through October 15. Picnic tables, fire rings, and grills are provided. Roads and parking spurs are paved. Ranger-led campfire programs are offered in the campground amphitheater during summer months. Three miles from Ellington MO. Trails for miles for ATVs, OHVs, and Horses. Ride to Clearwater Lake Conservation Area for thousands of acres to ride or hike. Also 5 miles from Current River Conservation. area and 12 miles from the Black River for kayaking, canoeing, floating and fishing. Stalls available for your horses. Bring your boat or rent one at Clearwater Lake. They also offer pontoons and jet skies. Blue Springs, Johnson Shut Inns, and Elephant Rock State Park are just a few of the places to go in the area.

Harmony Hill

Few regions today preserve the wild and natural beauty of the Ozarks as well as Sunklands. Sunklands Conservation Area combined the former Sunklands-Burr Oak Basin Natural Area and Skunk Pond, Hartshorn, and Shannondale conservation areas with Kerr-McGee land.
Sunklands is valuable for its array of native plant and animal species. The area is the only known habitat in Missouri for monkshood, a showy purple wildflower.
Several upland ponds or sinkholes contain water and form a marshy area. The wetlands are rare and important homes to salamanders and other amphibians that require a fish-free habitat.

## Overview

Located deep in the interior forests of Shannon County, Logger's Lake Campground is situated along the southeast shore of Logger's Lake. Constructed in 1942, this spring-fed lake is maintained as a fishery and is a destination for anglers looking for non-motorized boating and quiet bank fishing.

## Recreation

Logger's Lake offers good fishing for large-mouth bass, sunfish and channel catfish. The Day Use area has a small swim beach, boat ramp, picnic tables, and grills.

## Facilities

The campground area is located on the southeast lakeshore and all sites have a view of the lake, with only light vegetation in between. There are 14 sites with each site offering a table, fire ring, tent pad, and some offer lantern posts. Drinking water and vault toilets are centrally located. There are two boat ramps, and a barrier-free fishing pier. Group camping is available at Oak Knoll.

## Natural Features

The campground is located on 22-acre, spring-fed Logger's Lake. A variety of colorful vegetation, clear creeks and springs provide a picturesque setting.

A short walk from the campground leads to a popular swimming area on the Jacks Fork River, a crystal clear and spring fed waterway that's cool and refreshing on a hot summer day.   
  
Several interpretive trails with educational exhibits meander nearby. Other hiking trails include the Alley Overlook Trail, Chubb Hollow Trail, Ozark Trail, Cave Spring Trail and Big Springs Trail.
