Above average Missouri lake state park

Worth the trip up from US 60 if you’re driving E/W, standard MSP rates and setup. There’s a campground on the lake and and a campground up on the ridge. We’ve stayed on the ridge twice, and on a weeknight or any night in the off season, you can nearly have the place to yourself. On a Monday in…

Nearly Empty

Nice State Park. Sites are fairly large and fairly well spaced out. Bathrooms aren’t great. We’re here on a Friday night and there are only five other people in the whole place.

Country Life

I must make a comment regarding two other reviews. A lake is generally deeper than a pond. You weigh the depth and surface to judge if a body of water is one or the other. In Arkansas you will find a pond on a ranch or a farm. Now in some areas of the United States there are lakes that cover masses…

Cozy little campground

Not big but definitely good for a stopover on a cross country trip. Only here one night but seems quiet and cozy.

Really Nice

A really nice smaller privately owned campground that still has all of the perks. Pool, clean bath house, ice, fire wood, etc. Bordered by a spring branch and just a mile from Clearwater lake access. Has several cabins and one RV for rent. Tall pines and cottonwood trees throughout. Owners are…

Great place to camp!

The Greenville Recreation Campsite has much shade, level concrete pads, a picnic table and fire ring at each of the 100+ camp sites. There are walking and biking trails. Boating, swimming & fishing access is available at nearby Lake Wappapello. The campsite is actually located in the area of…

Great for kids and a few nights

Sites are paved easy to get into and very level. Power and water both worked very well and the dump station had easy access. 3 playground areas and a neat old civil war cemetery are located in the camping area. It is a part of the trail of tears and there are lots of historical things to look at.…

Nice little park

We stayed here over Veteran's Day weekend and had a pretty good time. We camped in site 54 which the website listed as a 45ft pad, but it was pretty difficult getting our 32ft camper in there. Only complaints would be- it was a small campsite, not alot of room around the firepit, and the only…

Pretty State Park, Hard to Get to

This was a pretty, uncrowded state park in Arkansas. Nice small pond with a good walking trail around it.  The park was hard to get to, narrow/windy roads. I enjoyed my stay there and its great if its on your way from point A to point B.

Nice Little Park

This is a pretty park with a man-made pond and surrounded by pretty natural setting. The roads into this area are narrow, winding and have no shoulder. Not the best for an old Class A, but worth the trip.

We were generally disappointed by the Rangers. The showers in two of the three site loops…

Beautiful spring. Tight campspots. Lots of motor boats.

The Big Spring is really pretty and we appreciated learning about the geology of the area. The campsites were tight. The pads were small and short. Campers had to part their vehicles on the grass. There were no private campsites that I observed. (I always appreciate some foliage and privacy between…

Family friendly

We love this campground.  Quite time at night which is great if you have kids. We are a family of 5 so this is great. The bath houses are clean and the people are amazing.

Great spot on Spring River

Large campground on Spring River with lots to offer. Cabins, Camper Cabins, RV sites with water & elec and tons of primitive sites. You can also take float trips down the river with this place. Camp store onsite, but only open during busy season. No pets allowed at this campground. This place…
