Fortuna, Missouri

Went here on a sunday night. Only two other campers. Toilets, dumpster, and water pump present. Only bummer was lots of ticks and there must be a gun range nearby, which set off our dog's anxiety.

So nice and clean. The office staff was so pleasant as well as the guys that delivered firewood and ice and helped guide us into our spot. We made plans to go back in a couple weeks. We were there Memorial weekend and the place was packed but still nice and quiet.

You have to drive pretty far off the highway on gravel roads. When we got to the campground the one lane gravel road was packed on both sides with cars parked for an event at the campground. This review should have gone under Berry Bend Campground. If fishing boating of all types is your thing this is it. This. Is a very large campground very well maintained. Showers flush toilets and pit.

Less amenities than other near by State Parks, no playgrounds mainly and the sites aren't too close to the lake. Power only, so be prepared for that if you are looking for hook-ups. Overall, you can't beat Missouri state parks for beauty, cost and availability of trails to hike! Enjoying our stay…

Great campground if you need full hook-ups. All the bells and whistles. Clean bathroom, laundry, pool, playground, dog run, hiking trails and firewood that you can actually burn. It's off the beaten path but still close to everything. Friendly people and very accommodating.
