Heaven on Earth

Stayed here on my way to Colorado and on the way home. A beautiful farm and property nestled in beautiful Higginsville Missouri. The owners are amazing people allowed me to use shower in the amazing 100 year old home. I’ll be stopping here any time I’m coming through the area. A ++

Nice place to camp. Close to home

Great place to fish.kayak. Bike ride. Clean campsites and bathrooms

Nice and spacious recreation area campground.

When driving across country this summer we camped at blue springs and it was a nice place to stay for the night. The campsites were grassy and didn’t have a lot of trees so I imagine it can get hot but the sites were large and everything was clean and well-maintained. We stayed in a tent and arrived a few minutes late and the staff was very accommodating and gave us a spot for the night.

Crammed in a tent camping field...

Let's Share COVID and a campfire song. When we booked a tent site in the KOA we didn't expect much but assumed it would work for the night while driving across the USA.  Upon arrival we were a little put off by being stuck with several other tents in a field and noticed we were expected to share our fire ring with the tent next door… this was not ok with us and we left promptly and snagged a nice spot in the nearby Blue Springs Recreation Area. Traveling during summer 2020 has been interesting and to expect strangers to share a fire ring and be crammed very close during a pandemic is not only careless but not fun. UGH

Idyllic

I would highly recommend this place. The hosts are lovely and accommodating. We came in with our small trailer, two kids and a dog. There was plenty of space for all of us and even a wonderful tire swing for the kids. We got to take a peek into their recently refurbished on site trailer which is great! I hope we get the chance to stop in again.

Full hook ups are a wonderful kus

Quiet campground. Host is accommodating finding a place for our boat and extra vehicle. Grounds are maintained well. Due to Covid the restrooms are not available.

Practically perfect!

Lovely small RV park. Only about 12 sites. Super friendly, helpful owner. Quiet area in a small town but grocery store just down the road if you need to restock.

Level sites. Good hook-up access. Small, clean laundry. Bathrooms were top-notch. Every campground should have the same set up. Handicap accessible, all in one in same room. So great if you have kids or someone with a disability.

City pool and playground across the street. Only stayed one night so didn’t get a chance to try those. Will definitely stay again when passing through the area.

Tent Sites with Lake Views

We live near Crow’s Creek, and enjoy making spur of the moment camping trips here throughout the year. There are many spacious tent sites with great views of the lake. Miles of paved walking/biking trails around the water offer for a nice activity!

Tip: Before choosing your site number, ask which loop is furthest from the horse camping as there can be some noise from the barn at night. The park staff has typically made this suggestion to us when we arrive!
