Boze Mill Float Camp

Fourche Lake Recreation Area is a beautiful place to be outside. It is located on V Hwy approx. 2.5 miles off of HWY 160 W. There is a beautiful wooden dock to fish off of or just simply look at the lake. There is a vault toilet and picnic tables for picnickers. The dock, path leading to the dock, and bathroom are all handicapped accessible. There is dispersed camping available at 6 established sites with fire rings. There is no water or electric hookup available. There is a boat launch available only electric motors are allowed. Fourche Lake is 49 acres in size and provides opportunities for catching catfish, panfish and bass.

Float Camp Picnic Area is located only 150 feet from the cool waters of the crystal clear Current River. Visitors enjoy floating the river, fishing and hiking. A campground is only a half-mile away for those who want to stay longer than a day. Natural Features: The picnic area is nestled under a mature forest of hardwoods, which offers plentiful shade. It is adjacent to the Current River. Recreation: The swift-moving river allows for enjoyable float trips, as well as canoeing and great fishing. Swimming is also a popular pastime. Visitors enjoy horseshoe pits and volleyball courts, as well as hiking and other recreational opportunities nearby. Facilities: The day-use picnic area offers an accessible group shelter that can accommodate up to 75 people. The site is equipped with electricity, tables and grills. Individual sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Accessible vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. Nearby Attractions: Doniphan is four miles away and offers float trip outfitters, restaurants and lodging.

Rocky River Resort

Greer Crossing Recreation Area is located on the right side of Eleven Point National Scenic River at about 16.7 miles and offers access to the Eleven Point River for boating and fishing. This Recreation Area offers camping, picnic tables, fire pits, toilet, boat ramp and parking. Fees for Greer Crossing Recreation Area Campground are $10 per single and $15 per double campsite/ night and are paid at the fee tube. There is a 50% discount for anyone who has a Golden Age or Golden Access Passport, a Senior Pass, or an Access Pass. There are 16 single and 3 double mowed sites which offer seclusion and privacy, each with table, fire ring, and lantern post. The campground is set back away from the water’s edge. A campground host is on site in the summer. There is a centrally located vault toilet in the Campground. Drinking water and trash bins are available May 1- October 1. Some activities at Greer Crossing Recreation Area include are hiking, canoeing, wading, and fishing. A picnic area is near the boat access. The picnic area has 4 individual sites, each with a grill and one or more tables. The boating access is one of the most popular launch sites for persons floating the Eleven Point. There is one trail are available for hikers; a 4-mile trail follows the river and through typical Ozark hills up to McCormack Lake then circles back for a 2 mile walk back to Greer. This trail runs along the river and then back along the hillside above the river. Fishing is also very plentiful, there are rainbow trout, small mouth bass, sunfish, just to name a few.

Greer Crossing

The Current River recreation areas provide a wonderful opportunity for the public to experience a more social recreation opportunity in the southern ozarks. The swift , clear and cool Current River with numerous gravel bars provides motorized boating, non-motorized boating, tubing, camping, picknicking and wading opportunities in a more developed recreation setting. On weekends you will experience numerous recreationists enjoying a variety of waterbased activities. A favorite past time on the river whether boating or tubing includes taking breaks on the numerous gravel bars. The recreation areas on the Current River are easily accessible by vehicle and are located near small communities which provide a variety of services. The northern most access site is the Watercress Recreation Area located in Van Buren, Mo. Watercress is a developed area which provides a boat launch, day use picnicking, overnight camping, and two group picnicking shelters The next area is the Bay Nothing Boat Launch located near Grandin, Mo. Bay Nothing is a primitive site that provides a boat launch and limited day use opportunities. Moving downriver you encounter the Deer Leap and Float Camp Recreation areas located just outside of Doniphan, Mo. Deer Leap and Float Camp are developed areas which provide a variety of opportunities from renting tubes, canoes and rafts; to launching your canoe or jon boat; to camping and picnicking.
