Peach Queen campground

When we arrived the grass was very tall. They did mow today. Just not my site as we were occupying it. It has full hook ups. Not very much shade. My site has none. The bathrooms are dirty. The pool is a nice size. It could use a vacuum. There is a decent size jungle gym at the playground. My 8 year…

Not what we hoped for

We stayed in the Antioch loop on site 93. The site was super close to 92 and 94. We felt we had no personal space. A couple kept walking through our campsite to get to a boat they had parked at our site. I love rustic but Antioch was not rustic, it was over grown and did not look maintained. We…

Family Fun!

We took our kids for the first time and it was a great trip! I’ve always lived Oak Mountain so I for sure go back as often as I can. We stayed on 42B which was an AMAZING site. My favorite one so far. There was a lot of traffic just because that was the way to get to the campground beach, but it…

Hoover Rv Camp Review

It's mostly for Pull Alongs, 5th Wheelers & RV's, no spots for a Tent trees far away but not too far. On the outskirts of a parking lot of a stadium!

Beautiful park and very well kept. If you can’t find something to do here you aren’t looking. Mountain Biking, road biking and very well payed out lanes. Tents, cabins, pull thoughts for classA’s. Just a beautiful park!!

Not getting better !

They must do a good business. The sites are very close together. Site may have been stoned at one time but now its two tire paths. There is wifi but haven’t tried it. Tmoble signal is not bad. Dish depends on your site.

Very relaxing and shadybon Antioch Loop.

This campground has 2 loops.  Catoma which has concrete pads and some shade.  Antioch is gravel pads but very shady!!!!  It's more close to nature!!!  I highly recommend the Antioch Loop!!!

  • Campsite 132 on Antioch Loop. Was a long site and very shady!!!
  • The Bamboo Park wasn't very far away and so unique.

Great Respite

Third time staying at Oak Mountain and it was great. Stayed in B37. A20-27 are better but our trip was short notice. Decent size and pretty quiet. Bathrooms could use some updating but still pretty clean. Great hiking trails and lots of stuff to do!

Add this place to your list!

What an amazing campground! Alabama knocked this one out of the park. From the first time you enter the park, which isn’t too far from BHam or the interstate, you’re transported to a different place where things move much more slowly just the way we like it. The campground is a 5 mile ride from the…

Big State Park

Well wort the little extra drive to get to the campground in the middle of the park. Beautiful sites. Some spread out some near each other but still lots of room. Park has lots of stuff to do or just relax in nature. Watch our video showing Oak Mountain Park. https://youtu.be/Kw3BTjl8io8

Great state park, campground could use improvements

Oak Mountain has plenty of activities for everyone including a demonstration farm, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, swimming and fishing. The campground is conveniently located to the lake with it's own beach area. There is also a pier to fish or swim from. Our campsite had a major ant…

Fun for the whole family

Oak mountain state park has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. There's so much to do; and its always growing. It's the largest state park in Alabama. Theres lakes, waterfalls, nature trails, basket ball court, volley ball, a petting zoo, horses back riding, water sports, dirt bikes…
