Awesome stay

My kids and I absolutely loved it here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did tent “glamping” so we had electric, water and wifi nearby but still enjoyed our time away from concrete buildings. We had a fire pit, picnic table, and parking to ourselves. The pool came in clutch since it is…

Great place to camp and boat

Some of the campsites have courtesy docks. Our site was right on the lake. Would live 5o go back.

Not what we exspected

We stayed in the Antioch loop on site 93. The site was super close to 92 and 94. We felt we had no personal space. A couple kept walking through our campsite to get to a boat they had parked at our site. I love rustic but Antioch was not rustic, it was over grown and did not look maintained. We…

This is a great out of the way park.

It is clearly an older park with not much recent love. It is clean but not perfect.

The sites have older hookups but they are functional. The campsites are not level and some of them you have to guess where to put the trailer. We stayed on April 8& 9 (Thursday and Friday) and found it…

Very relaxing and shadybon Antioch Loop.

This campground has 2 loops.  Catoma which has concrete pads and some shade.  Antioch is gravel pads but very shady!!!!  It's more close to nature!!!  I highly recommend the Antioch Loop!!!

  • Campsite 132 on Antioch Loop. Was a long site and very shady!!!
  • The Bamboo Park wasn't very far away and so unique.

Excellent spot to pitch a tent

We needed a place in a pinch since we got on the road in the afternoon. Spoke with a very nice man on the phone (Jim Scott if memory serves me) who directed us to book online... $18 for the night and we had running water, a fire pit, and a decent little plot overlooking a section of the Alabama…

Some sites better than others.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend so it was very busy, even with some rain showers.

We stayed at site 23 for 3 nights. this site is located next to the boat ramp and parking lot so there was a lot of traffic. It’s next to the water but 3-4 feet above the water line and blocked by bushes…

Quiet, Gorgeous

So nice. Many sites right on the water. Quiet and well equipped. Weather was perfect for a fire right next to the river. Fire ring, charcoal grill, flat paved sites...perfect for this 24' RV.

One Night

Great place for one night stop. We pulled in after dark to find the park attendant had set us in a great spot near the spotlessly clean restroom for the night. We had no problem setting up and plugging in. WI-Fi was strong and  blessing. If you like fast planes and helicopters this is your place to…

Waterfront camping

Gorgeous sites, many right on the water. We saw huge paddlefish jumping out of the water, many birds and deer on the nature trail. Bring fishing poles. Staff super friendly. Would get five stars but the ants really are bad. It's a southern campground thing apparently. Be prepared and you'll be…

  • Tent only walk in site.
  • Last site on the peninsula, walk in.
  • Nice wooded RV sites.

The spring here is nice. But it is over crowded and trashed.

The spring is beautiful and flows into a little creek... this place has the potential to be a good spot but the staff and the people who visit really need to step up and clean this place. It looks like the staff has abandoned the place. Their was food left all over the ground from the people…
