This was by far one of the most quite COE campground we have been to. We made the mistake of booking the FlyerFly loop, the bathhouse was closed due to COVID. The camp host was very nice and helped us move to Yellowhammer where the bathhouse was open. So if you are looking for a spot near an open…

This park is a little out of the way but well worth it. The sites are spacious and spaced well apart. Almost all of the spots are well shaded . The whole park is well kept, and so very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay here.
We love Deerlick! Nice cleans sites, happy hosts, and clean bathhouse! We can’t wait to get back. The recreation options were endless.
We tent camped in the RV park with 4 dogs. Our campsite (10) was perfect- right on the water, plenty of space, nice even pad for our tent & canopy. The neighbors were kind & the bathrooms well maintained. Definitely will stay again. Nice trails too!

Cell/Wifi non existent. Office staff and rangers friendly and helpful.
We stayed one night (4/25/21) at site 78. Our site was on the water and we were able to catch quite a few bream directly in front of us. It seems like the sites which aren’t waterfront are a little more tent friendly, but our tent fit just fine in the gravel area by the picnic table. We used the…

We loved out spot here. The campground was very quiet. Both camp hosts were extremely nice and helpful. There are beautiful views overlooking the lake and lots of hiking trails and waterfalls. We had dinner nearby at Lakeshore Inn. We liked the food, servers were friendly and outside dining…

First things first, don’t follow the GPS! It will take you to the recreation area and you will have to turn around. The campground can’t be seen from the main road. Take side road on left when you see the welcome to Alabama sign on the right. If you are coming from the other direction, you’ll pass…

Well maintained and peaceful, with pretty good space between sites. First come first serve, but note that you need a gate code from the hosts, so be careful arriving after hours.
Easy access to Bankhead. Would go again if we were in the area.
Really enjoyed the group camp site. Very spacious with a huge fire pit. Easy walking distance to bathhouse. Great hiking as well. Day use area was closed due to pandemic.

We loved the history and beauty of THSP. Everyone was so friendly, but we felt like we were on top of the people beside us.
Lake Lowndes is simply a place that every camper (primitive or RV) has to visit. The staff from the ranger to the park host to the manager and everyone else is friendly and ready to help in any way. The sites are paved, large and very easy to back into. We have stayed at #43, #41, #1, #31 and…

I arrived without a reservation trying to get one of the first come first serve spots. There is a gate without intercom, so you can’t just drive up. I called the phone number listed and the woman on the phone gave me the gate code and told me which sites were available. Worked out pretty well.…
I went here for tent camping and had a nice time but it was mostly families with RVs. There is a nice lake where a lot of people were boating as well. I did the firefly loop and I was the only tent camper everyone else was in an RV. Restrooms at the campground were closed due to covid. Also they…
We stayed on site 101 on Bear Loop. Clear Creek was a beautiful and quiet facility. Staff was kind and helpful. CCRA just experienced major storms in the area, but did a great job accommodating individuals who’s sites flooded and needed to move. There was only one of bathhouse open for the…
