Gunter Hill Campground offers a peaceful scene of trees and nature on the backwaters of the Alabama River. The fishing is excellent, providing challenges for the master angler as well as the occasional cane pole fisherman. Boating, hunting and hiking are popular activities. Recreation The area's waterways offer excellent fishing for crappie, bass and catfish. A boat ramp is provided for easy river access. The Lowndes Wildlife Management area, located nearby, covers 12,500 acres and offers prime hunting for whitetail deer, wild turkeys and hogs, and a variety of small game and waterfowl. The campground provides a basketball court and playground, offering additional recreation opportunities for visitors. Facilities This year-round campground offers 142 sites with electric hookups. Sites 1-75 are newly renovated sites and have concrete pads and sewer. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station and laundry facilities. ## Overview

Prairie Creek Campground is situated beneath moss-draped oaks on the banks of Woodruff Lake. The lake is part of the scenic Alabama River in the region's Black Prairie Belt.   
  
For sportsmen, the campground offers a wonderful opportunity to relax between fishing and hunting trips. Water sports and hiking are also popular activities.

## Recreation

Woodruff Lake offers excellent fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish.   
  
Boating, jet skiing and other water sports are big draws to the lake, and a boat ramp is provided for easy water access.   
  
The Lowndes Wildlife Management area, located nearby, covers 12,500 acres and provides prime hunting for whitetail deer, wild turkey, hogs and a variety of small game and waterfowl.

This waterfront campground offers 55 family RV sites and seven tent-only sites, all with electric hookups.

Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. We are located on Hwy 29 about 12 miles from Andalusia. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Families and visitors of all varieties gravitate to our RV park on beautiful Gantt lake. Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy skiing, swimming, jet skiing and boating on its waters, while fishermen will appreciate catching shellcrackers, bream and bass. During the winter, duck hunters can experience incredible hunts on the lake.

Our mild year-round climate attracts both short and extended stay visitors. We welcome pets as well and have a dog park for them to run unleashed. Come and pay us a visit, away from the crowds, but still close to town and convenient to the many attractions on the Gulf Coast. We are in a quiet area with access to a town aprox. 18 miles away. We are about 45 minutes from the Alabama River and an hour from Millers Ferry. There is a Robert Trent Jones golf course near by and we are about 2 1/2 hours from the beaches. With a total of 265 acres, we have 2 ponds and a creek for fishing and recreation. The land consists of open fields and woodlands. Pitch your tent in one of our beautiful grass covered fields and enjoy access to 263 acres of pure nature. You can go fishing, swimming, hiking, or sit back and enjoy the sounds of nature on this farm out in the country. You can even go wading in a beautiful creek. Get off the beaten path! If you live in the city, you will see stars, in the night sky, that you never get to see where you live. 35 minutes from Millers Ferry on the Alabama River. 50 minutes from Montgomery, the state capital, and 30 minutes from Cambrian Ridge golf course on the Robert Trent Golf Trail. We are horse friendly and have a pen where you can keep your horses. Stalls are in the plans and hopefully should be completed sometimes late next year! We have made some major changes, that began this year! We Opened our Camping Season on March 1st and now extend it throughout the entire year! We have eliminated the hunting lease and are now a Wildlife Preserve! We are focused on a major effort to vastly increase our Wildflower populations as we have begun planting a minimum of 1 million new seeds, each year for the next 3 years! The colors should be awesome! We are planting strawberry patches, Blueberry bushes, and Fruit Trees, as well as improving existing stock! Now is the perfect time to come and enjoy exploratory hikes and leisurely walks along our many roads and trails! There are very few tall grassy areas and most of the ground is still visible, from this years controlled burns! The number of plants blossoming will steadily increase throughout this growing season, providing multi colored eye candy! If you have not been exposed to the Corona Virus, we also offer a secluded area to come and lay low, until the crisis has passed! We are not gouging prices and we ask that you not come, if you have been exposed to the Virus, until you have passed through adequate quarantine! &nbsp;IMPORTANT: &nbsp;In order to comply with Public Safety Guidelines, Murchison Farm's Primitive Campground will host no more than 5 groups of 4each, at any given time. Each group will be assigned an area and asked to not interact with other groups. If You are getting tired of those 4 walls yet, Murchison Farm's Wildlife Preserve and Primitive Campground offers a Great Place to take a break, and get Out into the Wide Open Outdoors! Don't waste time, make Your Social Distancing Experience exciting and full of new experiences! If you are interested in some of our current Blossoms catering to Pollinators. I caught some photos of a huge Green Moth, just shortly after it exited the cocoon. It's wings were mostly dried out, except for the very ends. They were still curling out. Would have been Nat. Geo. awesome if the full event had been videoed! If You look at the Photos, compare the Moth's size to the Pick-up Tire! I would love to see You add some of Your Own photos!! If You like to Fish, You might want to book early. We only have 2 areas with Bass, Brim, etc… And only 2 areas where You can Fish Ultra-Light. Each camping party will be assigned only one of these sites.​We will have very little interaction with guest, other than an occasional check to make sure all is well.​We Use several Booking Venues, so please remember bookings will be first come first served! Murchison Farm

When venturing out, camp is just a short 15 to 30 minutes drive to Enterprise, Troy, and Elba, full of city amenities and activities. Venturing just a bit farther for a day trip, campers can check out Lake Eufala, Waterfall and Caverns of Florida, and Panama City Beach. Come back and sit under the stars enjoying your private getaway. This private and cozy campsite is tucked away in the beautiful woods abounding with wildlife. This campsite is set back many acres from our busy homestead to offer you complete privacy along with the bounty of homestead amenities and activities offered to you should you want to experience a bit of homestead life. There are plenty of walking trails and open fields and beautiful forest. Site is a very open camping site with lots of space. At the main homestead, we offer lots of free extras, and campers are always welcome to hang around with the animals and feed them treats. Check out the rabbitry and see some cute baby bunnies on your way to pet the goats. We are a family and kid-friendly farm, and the campsite is run like an extension of our homestead. You are our welcome guests! Need eggs? Visit the chicken coop and see what you can find for breakfast. Need some herbs or veggies? See what the gardens have to offer in season. Need firewood? Pick up the bounty of dead wood around or come up and grab a bundle. Forgot a toothbrush? Come by the house and grab a new one. Need to charge your phone? Plug in at the homestead. Everything is included in your camping experience at no extra charge (outside of a few deluxe extras that some campers might like to experience - see the extras list to reserve). BE OUR GUEST!

The Space:
Secluded campsite only a quick drive to nearby towns of Elba, Enterprise, and Troy. Privacy and lots to do!

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Other Things to Note:
1. Please let us know what time you will be arriving. We look forward to welcoming you to our homestead and showing you to your campsite. 

2. Help yourself to anything on the homestead while you are here, and ask any questions along the way. 

3. Ask for anything you need. If we don't have something you really need, we will see what we can do for you to accommodate your needs. 

3. We love dogs, and your dogs are welcome here, but please leash them up when unattended or if bringing them on the main property. Dog crates are available if you need to use them. The ducks, geese, guinea hens, and chickens will really appreciate it as they don't like to be chased and have developed a peace treaty with our farm dogs, which they would like to continue. 

4. Please do not litter or disrespect the nature around you, and leave the campsite as clean as you found it. 

5. Dispose of all garbage and return any items you might have borrowed from the homestead like books or toys for kids. 

6. Please empty your loo upon leaving by taking your loo bag and depositing in the garbage can. 

7. Please give us any suggestions or feedback so we can better the experience next time you come. We would really appreciate a positive review.
