Gorgeous

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. Beautiful lake and Spanish moss, spacious sites, plenty of privacy, and very quiet! The pictures speak for themselves. We’ve camped here in both fall and summer and always have a great experience.

Great Little Campground

I stayed here for 8 weeks while travel nursing at a local hospital. I had previously moved from another campground I did not feel safe at. Boy was this place a breath of fresh air! The staff was very nice and accommodating! They patrolled the grounds on golf carts frequently. There are only two…

Not what we hoped for

We stayed in the Antioch loop on site 93. The site was super close to 92 and 94. We felt we had no personal space. A couple kept walking through our campsite to get to a boat they had parked at our site. I love rustic but Antioch was not rustic, it was over grown and did not look maintained. We…

Has potential - but just ok

The good:

The not so good:

Not much information on what you are looking at or should look for

Picnic tables in sad shape

Camping spots had a bit of a parking lot feel

Bathhouse in disrepair…

Well maintained shelter

This is a review for the backpacking shelter located along the Pinhoti trail in Weogufka State Forest. This is the closest camping site to the Southern Terminus of the trail and is a great overnight option. The shelter is has a platform that goes around 3 walls on the inside which is enough space…

  • The road we drove in on to access the trailhead. We had to park here since there was a log blocking the road.
  • This is a little picnic area at the trailhead.

Fine for a quick overnight

This campsite is right off the interstate just south of Montgomery so it makes for a super convenient and easy stop overnight. The sites are close to level and are all (I think) pull throughs. They have the amenities needed and the grounds are well kept and it seems like they are still developing.…

Quick Overnight off highway

Staff is wonderful, campstore is well stocked. Sites are all full hookup pull through. Restrooms smelled like Men's showerhouses and laundry facility was dirty. The ice machine was in with the laundry room and seemed unsanitary/locked. There were at least 16 permanent travel trailers that were run…
