Cheaha was such a pleasant surprise. More like a resort, this park had tent camping, RV camping, a pool, a lake, cabins, a playground, and a restaurant with a view. We had a little trouble with the upper tent sites not being level because we have a roof top tent, but we were able to switch our site…

Ferry near I-20. Basically a big gravel parking lot with hookups. Bathrooms were clean people were nice. A decent place to stop for a night sleep but not to hang out for very long.

We came for the memorial day weekend and the week afterwards. The park was full but also still peaceful and quiet in the primitive camping area.

Lots of open space, trees, by a river. Clean bath house with hot showers. Right on Chief Ladiga Rail trail about 6 miles west of AL/GA border. We road east, will come back to ride west segment. Dark at night for star gazing. Friendly folks.
Cheaha is great for year round camping. Some of the states best hiking trails. Best time to hike is Winter (IMO) when the leaves are mostly gone and you have great views all around. Also trails for mtn. biking. Campgrounds are in great shape with clean bath houses. I’ve camped at both lower and…

Had a great time. What was going to be 3 day trip, turned into 6. So many trails and waterfalls to find.
We stayed this past weekend. Luckily, we chose the E (more quiet) area because we didn’t want to stay for more than 3 days. Explored all over and saw how crowded c and b were. There are a few less crowded spots on the water but for the most part it’s very close. Good if you want your kids to play…
On our trip to Cheaha State Park we stayed in the lower campground, which features very roomy RV sites, some with really nice views, and all with full hookups including power, water, and sewer. There is no cable or wifi available however, and cell service is pretty spotty. There is also an upper…
Not much to do but hike. You can kayak the Chattahoochee river if you are brave enough to deal with the pollution. Other than that, it’s a good place to relax if everyone doesn’t bring their massive barking dogs along. We found it very hard to enjoy all 3 times we went because of the dogs barking…

Great county park. Has tent and under 28' ft rv (red) sites and yellow above 28' ft rv sites. Includes pull through and back in sites. Bathhouses are kept clean. Has lots of paved walking trails, fishing, boating, sand beach/swimming, and mini golf. Only reason for 4 stars is there is no septic,…

Awesome campground. If you look at the map you’ll see that some sites are full hook-up and some are not. We stayed in C section with full hook-ups. They have playgrounds throughout the campground, trails from 1 mile long to 15 miles long that can be utilized by horse, bike, or on foot. Boat rentals…
