It was great except for the yellow flies that were everywhere. Not as bad once we got in our spot.
Overall….meh. The RV sites are not on any type of paved or level ground and are not suitable for larger RVs. They're VERY close together and there are a lot of trees. They call them "pull through" sites but there isn't enough room to pull through and turn onto the road (you could barely pull a…
Me, my wife and a few friends decided to winter camp here 1/17/2021. The manager was super friendly and love talking with the guests. We ended up needing to park more cars than the park rules stated but the manager was very accommodating. Quiet campsite besides the occasional otter diving in the…
This campground is nice and well kept. Facilities are fairly new. Close to tensas river. Only negative is there are virtually no trees in campground and it’s a little pricey at $40 a night
Spent 2 nights @ the hurricane lake south. Beautiful spot to relax and decompress. I suggest bringing fishing gear if you are into fishing. I was motocamping so I couldn't fit my fishing gear on my bike. I eneded up meeting some awesome folks there
This camp ground is growing so there was quite a bit of construction debris around, but looking past that. This spot is literally right off Hwy 10 at exit 26 making it convenient for travelers. I would not recommend this campsite for true "camping". On ground fires are not allowed and there are no…
Stayed right across the street from the bathroom. 14 day stay. 12 dollars a day with access pass discount. I will definitely be there again. Got poison ivy well I was there so be careful of that.
Wendy and Jim were funny and helpful. Spots were gravel with nice paved patios. Small laundry area with clean machines. Unisex baths were clean. People were fishing right off the bridge that separates the two parts of the campground.
What a wonderful RV park. The staff was so helpful. We were taken to our site and we were guided as we backed up our RV. The grounds were nice and everything worked. We wished we could’ve stayed there longer, but we were just passing through.
Sent reservation request for a future stay in the evening and had a phone call from Wendy the next morning. Very impressed with her answers to my questions and the quick reply for a reservation request. Will update review once we complete our stay.
Amazing spot! Just a few people there. Beautiful views! Right by the state park, no toilets and showers here. Loved every part of it!
Black Water River State Forest is on the Florida and Alabama state line. This is all primitive camping so be sure to bring EVERYTHING you need to camp. Also it is connected to Alabama’s Conecuh National Forest, so there’s lots of ground to cover to get some miles in. My group of camping buddies and…

Great park, nice couple that runs it. We ended up getting there past the 9pm cutoff and they were nice enough to still let us check in. Only downside is the bathhouse only has two bathrooms for both men and women. Several times we went to take showers and it was full! Otherwise really great park to…
Epic free spot just outside of the Black Water Forest State Park. Camp here for up to 14 days. The primitive area is really more geared for the tent camper with several nice flat spots to pitch a tent away from the parking area. However, there is room here for smaller rigs in the parking area.…
