Convenient to I-10

We were here for an overnight stop on the way back to Florida. The owner is great and we had a pull through site so we didn't have to unhook. Looks like there is a lot to do, but we were only there a short time. There is some road noise from I-10 but not a deal breaker.

Good stop

Improvements every time we stop. Wifi, good cell signal (tmoble & att) not a lot of frills.

Busy campgroup

Site #89, nice level site with shade. The other sites nearby are very close so no a lot of privacy.

Campground was very busy with swimmers, fishermen, boats and jet skis. Not like the state parks I have camped.

Absolutely beautiful, spacious and staff was great

We had a whole other trip planned and due to truck issues found the place by luck.  As most people know it's hard to find a campsite anytime of year so we were really thankful not only to find a spot but such a great one.  I will say it is in the middle of no where but we were still okay with that…

Fun and Family Friendly

Engineer beach is fun and family friendly! The campsites and facilities are clean. A dump station is conveniently located at the entrance of the park. The bath house also has a laundry room. There is a small park with a swing set, teeter totter, and basketball hoop. There is also a boat dock which…

No FHU’s here

Nice COE park. Level sites, many on the water. Some sites really wet with standing water in rainy weather. Host was not very accommodating when we asked to be moved to a dry site when the site next door was available, with no one arriving until the next day. It was an over night stop for us.

Mountains of Florida

Great trails in the mountains of Florida. Campsites are narrow but long we had enough space to set our screen room up behind camper. Hurricane michael did extensive damage to the area. Trees and shrubs are growing back. Not much shrubbery between sites. Two super cool yurts for rent and a cabin.…

Nature lover’s paradise

Wonderful state park in South Georgia! Our site was on the water and had beautiful sunset views. Newly renovated after Hurricane Michael, the upper loop had new gravel pads and plenty of space between sites. Great fire pit and grill combo along with a large and sturdy picnic table. The hiking trail…

Beautiful area

Easy on and off freeway. Pet friendly. Internet sketchy. Enjoyed a nice peaceful two day rest. Friendly owner. Freeway noise can be loud.

Quiet and clean

Great military campground. Water and electric, on site dump station. Laundry room clean and good price. Large sites that are spaced well for privacy. No wifi, but good cell phone service. Would highly recommend

Absolutely Beautiful!

Wonderful campground! The waterfront sites are pullthroughs on a halfmoon loop. The sites are level gravel pads with a walkway that leads to a raised gravel sitting area for each site. The sitting area has a firepit and a picnic table. The sites are very well spaced and the park is quiet. You see…

The Great Challenege

There’s a hiking loop called the Great Challenge. It’s so difficult, meandering up and down in elevation for 9 miles, that you may give up. Camping is grand— so much wildlife. If you’re lucky you may be able to see a panther or an indigo snake. The campgrounds used to be lush but Hurricane Irma…

Elevated Florida with a view

During the week of 7/19/2020 I spent 2 nights at this unique state park. After settling in I found the view out of my back dinette windows to be unlike any I had ever seen in Florida. Futher exploration found even better views from the bluff over the Apalachicola River and wooded expanses. Just…
