Loved this campground.

We stayed at J.C Cooper Campground at Satterwhite Point Area 2.

The site was near the water with very nice lake views right from the tent.

Great for swimming, kayaking, SUP, and other water activities.

The nearest grocery store (Food Lion) was about 15 minutes drive from our…

Nice spot on NC/VA Border

I've only camped here twice, both times on Memorial Day weekend. Our campground was in the JC Cooper campground area. I think that this isn't fair to this campground because each time its just been too dang busy. I assume that on a non holiday weekend it wouldn't be nearly as bad as when I've been.…

Very nice local campground

This was our "shakedown" trip with our new RV.  We found the campground to be very accommodating: 30A/50A electrical, and clean water.  The lake was just steps away from our site.  We went mid-week, so the campground was not completely filled.  The bath house was clean and had plenty of room.

Great campground; need to update map.

This was a great campground.  We were tent camping, so the humidity was a bit rough the first week of June.  The camp sites were very well maintained and the bathrooms were clean, although lacking some hot water for showers.  The camp site map can be a bit confusing as the colors don't always…

Perfect weekend getaway!

This was my first time ever visiting Eno River State Park. My partner and I camped at Fanny’s Ford at one of the primitive sites. The sites are well spaced but not a lot of privacy. We didn’t mind and everyone was cordial. On Friday there were a few logs left for campers at the entrance to the…

Quiet RV sites, far from lake

Sites were spacious. Ours was entirely shaded, but others seemed to have some sun. Site came with table, light/garbage pole, fire pit. Bathhouse was a walk, but the weather was fine and inside was clean. Showers were timed, but could be started multiple times. Low privacy with only a shower curtain…

Great camping options. $30/night

Starting at $30/night for a camping lot. I came here with a 25 foot shuttle bus. There are people here with deluxe buses, car+tent campers and everything in between. I reserved it through their website. They offer a small discount for senior citizens and military. Bathroom facilities with hot…

Family friendly

Loved that there was a playground near the site. The site itself was gravelly and not super private but it was great- the hikes around were stunning.

Great for families

We camped with a few other families at the group camp site. It was lovely. Great shade and perfect water for kids, the red mud is so much easier to wash off than sand! Bugs weren’t too bad. The electrical outlet was only in the bathroom which was a challenge but clean water was accessible all…

Fishing

Being from Missouri and moved to North Carolina I spent a week here and it has been so far one of the best places for fishing.

Good Campground in the Triangle

The last time I stayed in this area, it rained so much that I ended up sleeping in my SUV rather than in my tent, which was surrounded by an inch of water. This time, I decided our teardrop camper would be better just in case there was another deluge. This campground is in a different section of…

Huge Lake, nice sites

We visited Kerr Lake State Rec Area, JC Cooper Campground, Loop 1, at Satterwhite Point in April and it was fully booked for the weekend.  The sites are beautiful. Many have direct views of Kerr Lake. Water and electric were good, maintenance was good.  There are State Park quality toilets and…
