Pretty Views, Pretty Crowded

We’ve heard great things about this camp ground and I can see why ppl come here. The views are beautiful, the water is clear, but wow is it crowded! We like to have privacy and prefer a quiet experience but ppl here are packed in. Everywhere we turned there was a person or kid running around on the…

  • Fellow campers right behind us.
  • Standing on huge rock to take pic, other people would come here to sit. No privacy

Great quiet place to camp

Have camped at this location the past two trips. Sites along the lower end of the grounds are the ideal place to be as they are better spaced out and more private. All sites are decent size and bathroom facilities are typical camp bathrooms.

  • site 191. have to hike down to site from parking spot downhill slope.

Tucked away and peaceful

This campground is small but quiet and right on the water. They sell firewood right up the road or you can just visit the Amish for wood scraps. Favorite thing is the family of owls that inhabit the trees that you see every night.

Tupper Lake Triad

It was a great time at this campground. The lake at the campground was fantastic and gave our pups a chance to swim. the facilities were clean and the campground was quiet at night. Overall a great time. We used it as our base camp to complete the Tupper Lake Triad.

Love this campground!

About 5 years ago, some friends invited us on a camping trip that they do every year. We had such a great time, the campground is beautiful, the town is lovely, the scenery is tranquil and relaxing. We go every year now, save 2020 because of COVID. I'm excited to go back this year with our…

Worst owners don’t go

Worst campground ever been too and we have been to a lot as full time rvers! They are unprofessional and rude. Called us one night Well we weren’t at the rv at the time to do what they wanted. Then we get a very rude and unwanted nasty text from the other owner saying we were rude on phone and that…

Canoe Camping at Its Best

There are a few camping sites and one lean-to that I know of in this area. We happened upon it on our way to the seventh lake campground and ended up staying for two nights. We accessed the sites by water on a canoe trip. There is a large sand bar within a very short walk which was a great place to…

Amazing views

Have stayed here a handful of times. This is a great stop when rolling into the Adirondacks. Tons of cute towns nearby and have always used this as a quick stop before heading further into the mountains. There are outhouses at the sites and one in particular has a great view up on a ledge. Pretty…

Perfect for Thanksgiving

I headed up to Wellesley Island state park for the long Thanksgiving weekend with three teenagers (one girl and two boys). We rented cottage A, which was clean, spacious, warm and fully stocked with everything we needed. The fire pit outside was the only disappointment as it was well below ground…

Dispersed camping on stillwater reservoir

Primitive site on the beautiful south eastern end of Stillwater. A short hike in to a great beach for swimming or paddling.

We’ve stayed here many times in tents and hammock tents. The swimming is fantastic- water is clean and clear.

Because you can’t make a reservation here sometimes there’s…

Primitive dispersed camping. 1/4 mile walk in, lovely quiet lake

This is a small primitive site. No services, but a very beautiful spot. There’s a small fire ring, and access to the lake for swimming or fishing.

Sunday lake has always been lovely and quiet and a great place to take youth campers.

Take Stillwater rd. to McCarty road, the trail is 0.3…
