Established Campground

This is an older campground. Service was friendly. The price was the best on our trip!

It was great after a long day on the road to sit & relax. This campground is on the outskirts of Wells. There's some traffic noise, but the Interstate noise was faint. There are loud trains that go…

Challenge to get there.

High clearance vehicles only. We camped 1/2 mile before spring. NO camper trailers! No RVs! Road is just too bad.

great spot on the way thru nevada

stopped one night here on our way thru nevada. arrived around 7pm and there were still quite a few spots available. we were in spot #18, which is apparently usually booked. it was gorgeous and pretty level, tucked away from other sites in an aspen grove. the campground is pretty minimal with vault…

Amazing setting 20 minutes from I-80

Water is usually available, but not during out stay. Amazing setting with lots of hiking nearby. About halfway between Lake Tahoe and Yellowstone.

Fun Day Trip!

Great day trip to the hot springs. Brought the dogs & let the run to have a blast. Went in the AM and barely had anyone around. That changed as we progressed into the afternoon (note this was on a Saturday).

Know the road in is really bad so you’ll need a high clearance vehicle. Or you can do…

BIG BEND WAS AWESOME

I went there with my family and it was great. The only thing was if you do not go as far in you are bound to see more people.

Great spot by the creek

Clean, pretty spot by the creek. Which is nice and warm from the spring. And a short walk for a dip in the hotspring.

Rough road but worth it

Free/dispersed only. The hot spring is amazing and worth going as far as you can down a very rough road. We camped right next to the warm creek, about a quarter mile before the hot spring and walked to the spring several times a day. There were days when we had the spring all to ourselves, weekends…

This place is amazing

The hot spring water temp is perfect. There’s plenty of room though when I went there were few people there. The road out is pretty rough - you’ll need clearance though I made it in my Subaru Forester. So glad I came here.

Great star viewing

Really beautiful area but not much privacy between sites. We stayed there 2x, once during week and once on weekend which was noisy after dark. Star viewing was outstanding!!  Lots of coyotes howling at night, I loved that. We had trouble knowing ahead of time which first come slots were open.…

Great spot

Campground was pretty clean and easily accessible. Close-ish to Wild Horse for fishing or boating. Nice views on the drive in. Nice and shady spots! Will come back for sure.

Gorgeous lake up in the mountains

Surprisingly beautiful site, right outside of Wells, in Northern Nevada.   The actual camp sites are small and relatively close to one another, but it's beautiful up in the mountains the lake is absolutely gorgeous.  Good place to fish, swim or kayak.

Breathtaking views, great camping

It’s a windy road with a dead drop on the outside lane to a very high canyon with no guard rail... but it was SO worth it! The campsites are open, but separated by bushes and the hill that they’re naturally built on, bathrooms are very clean and the view is just out of this world.

There were a…

Tabor Creek Campground

20 miles of dirt road road puts you fairly remote. If you don’t mind a few washboards for a $2 a night stay it is well worth the travel. Past an old homestead that was over a hundred years old, not far from 12 mile hot springs and the Jarbidge Wilderness. Great trails leaving camp where you could…
