Lake Views are Definitely premium

Called the morning of arrival to see if we could come in early as we were only about 1.5 hours away due to poor planning i.e. hard to get last minute reservations near the Grand Canyon South Rim. They let us come in before noon with no charge! We went right into the National Park area that showed…

Quiet desert spot

Pleasantly surprised by the well maintained spots, cleanliness and very quiet. We just stopped for a night while passing through. Easy to find and get to. My son loved all the rocks for his RC crawler.

Safe, quiet, but far from the strip.

This place is crowded, but safe. Far from the highways and the stip. I forgot my surge protector here. The office manager was kind to keep it in safe place for me until I found a way to get it to ship back home. Probably will never stay here again. Washer and dryer are 2 dollars each and in ok…

Escaping the Las Vegas heat

Mt Charleston is beautiful place to re-energize and reconnect with nature.

I’ve explored almost every part of this mountain, but I never camped here before, as I enjoy camping at places that offers fishing.

I decided to take a chance on camping at McWilliams Campground, and I wish I didn’t wait…

Many trees, very nice swimming pool and hot tub.

I am staying here or maybe my third or fourth year for a period of time. The spaces on the east and put on the narrow side but their pull thru’s. The west side are all back in except for a few pull thru’s are wider. There are numerous large pine trees throughout the park. Some spots get better…

Nice rv park

Gravel roads throughout the park, nice large parking spaces for your rigs, they have a cool community garden which is cool because you can go pick some fresh veggies, a nice enclosed pool area kind a looks like an outside garden with clear windows metal framing but there’s a pool inside with plenty…

Decent place outside of the park.

There's a nice mix of tent and RV spots. It's by the highway but not loud. There's a spring fed warm water pool. Green grass, decent toilets and showers.

The wifi works, but there is no cell phone coverage here.

There are some weird rules around no campfires, and maybe not cooking on…

Views and Vistas

Let's be sure about this. If you're a tent camper, then just know you're going to roast between the months of May and October. The day times are brutal and the nights are barely cooler. We hit it in late May and had to find indoor fun between 10am and 7pm, returning to our campsite only when the…

One of my favs

I love this place so much. It’s far enough from town to have an amazing but close to a gas station if needed.

Not a ton of traffic at night. Sadly this place was victim of the recent fire and a lot of the awesome Joshua trees are black and look dead. I still love it.

Awesome camp site

This is a great spot. The drive here can be a bit rough if you come down cedar canyon. Cedar canyon and black canyon roads are full of washboard spots that makes for a bumpy ride.

No water or cell service at this site. They do have bathrooms. You do need to pay per night but they had no pencil or…
