We travel the country and review tons of campgrounds - reason for 1 star is at bottom - I would give zero if I could
At first I planned to give this place a 3 - for being in the Nevada dessert it had trees and provided some shade in August - the pond was nice looking but very overgrown, the pool is nice but all furniture is dirty and not well kept, the sites are decent but our 30 amp plug did not work thankfully we had 30-50 amp adapter that fixed it. Paved sites but unlevel so still required Andersons.
When we checked in we heard “we are having a problem with ants so if you have spray use it” but we saw zero evidence of ants on our site and were there for 8 hours during day and evening with no evidence of them.
What won this place a Zero star review is that our son woke us up at 5am saying he had ants crawling all over him. We got up and turned lights on and we had thousands and thousands of ants all through it like Not exaggerating at all they were everywhere. They were all through our beds, in every cabinet, we spent an hour sweeping, vacuuming and trying to clean them out of our camper - we hooked up at 5:30am and while I tackled ants my husband hooked up trailer and we are out of here
We will be fighting these ants the rest of our trip because of the sheer amount of them in our trailer
