Great Spot!

Camping areas are spacious and spread out from other campers. The reservoir is nice. No fee, but not all spots that look like campsites are allowed for overnight camping.

This'll do in a pinch....not bad, not great.

After a long, hot, WINDY ride down the ET Highway, I was ready for a stop.  I found this place via The Dyrt.  A bit difficult to find the actual entrance, to the north of the camps.  The Visitor Center, to the south, was closed.  The camps are rather exposed, but right on the water's edge.  Most…

Hidden gem

It’s about a 2 and a half 3 hour drive outside of Vegas depending on how fast you’re going. If you drive past the sign, you missed it! You pull in off the highway and just pick a spot. I’ve been here 3 maybe 4 times. This is the first time I wasn’t alone, but there was enough distance between the…

Simple and easy

Quick stop off the side of the road. Perfect for overnight stop, not much more. Road noise can be an issue

Free and remote

Free dispersed but only in designated areas per the blm map. Sites are on grazing lands but Joshua trees are scattered around. Cell on att and Tmobile 2 bars lte but verizon had no data, at least for me. Two bars due to trashy sites and beaten down vegetation

  • Sign at so end of old hwy 91 and Utah border
  • Vegetation view
  • Old hwy 91 had fresh chipseal recently

Peaceful Desert Oasis!!

This is a really awesome place right off the freeway! Plenty of places to drive right in and enjoy the quiet. I didn't hear any shooting or even see that many people. We made a fire and had a great time with our motorhome!

Great BLM site

We looked for a last minute camping spot as we went from LA to Colorado and came across this spot. It was free and pet friendly and right next to the lake which made for a beautiful sunset. The only downside is that you do hear quite a bit of traffic driving past since it’s right next to the road…

A great stop when you are on the road

We were looking for a dispersed area to camp after going to Valley of Fire State Park and finding it full. This area was just off to the right on highway 169 a mile or two north of Logandale. We turned right onto Waterline Road and then right again- drove for about 30 second and then set up right…

refuge FREE camping

There is an upper and lower camp area here in pahranagat.

You're on a major freeway so watch carefully for your turn in.

Fishing, hunting, and bird watching all happen here so there is plenty to do.

Did I mention it's free?? well it is and they have tables, grills, and fire rings.

Cool little…

Ok so this place is amazing no matter which way you slice it up. Make sure you have bug spray and where the brackets that protect you from anything because your in nature as well... could get hit by things. I read the reviews before we came and I made sure I was double prepared... I sprayed the…

Love this place!

Can’t wait to go back... literally the best place I have ever been. Such a good little vacation spot. What’s better than fishing and riding your kayaks? Nothing for me. The spots are perfectly sized with plenty of places to spread out and enjoy. You are not on top of anyone. We have a state park…

Great Site - Site 10

2nd review for this campground. Site 10 and Site 7 are our favorites. Site 10 does not have a fire ring grate, however there is a camp grill at this site as well. Site 7 has a fire ring with grate. Worked out perfect either way.

Agreed - A Hidden Gem

Visited on October 10th. This was a quick one night in-and-out for us but very enjoyable. The water at the lake was low and no fires due to the lack of rain in months. There were a lot of families fishing. We are more into hiking but this spot made me think about getting into fishing as well. The…

Quick easy pull off from the gorge

We drive by this all the time when we go to and from Las Vegas to Utah. It’s dispersed which means no resources available, a lot of open area for you to pull over and get some rest in either direction that your driving. It’s going to be nosey from where it’s located but I’m an RV it should not be a…
