Great Spot!

Camping areas are spacious and spread out from other campers. The reservoir is nice. No fee, but not all spots that look like campsites are allowed for overnight camping.

Hidden gem

It’s about a 2 and a half 3 hour drive outside of Vegas depending on how fast you’re going. If you drive past the sign, you missed it! You pull in off the highway and just pick a spot. I’ve been here 3 maybe 4 times. This is the first time I wasn’t alone, but there was enough distance between the…

Great Campground for stopover between UT/CO and NV/CA

We only camped one night (a few years ago). There aren't really any trees, and the only reason for 4 stars. BUT, relaxing and adequately spaced & right near the Virgin River.

pioch camping

Ok, I gave this campsite 4 stars only because it's worth another 20 minutes to get up to the horse thief gulch campground…

anyway, it's so sad to see the water level so low… awww this poor lake breaks my heart.

partial hookups and hot showers

ADA accessible

no one was on the water but I did…

Love this place!

Can’t wait to go back... literally the best place I have ever been. Such a good little vacation spot. What’s better than fishing and riding your kayaks? Nothing for me. The spots are perfectly sized with plenty of places to spread out and enjoy. You are not on top of anyone. We have a state park…

Agreed - A Hidden Gem

Visited on October 10th. This was a quick one night in-and-out for us but very enjoyable. The water at the lake was low and no fires due to the lack of rain in months. There were a lot of families fishing. We are more into hiking but this spot made me think about getting into fishing as well. The…

Close to Cathedral Gorge; Excellent value for RVers

There are TWO CAMPGROUNDS in Echo Canyon State Park. There is the upper campground with FULL hookups for RVs and there is the lower campground meant more for tent camping. They appear about the same elevation, perhaps upper is higher. The lower campground is across Echo Dam Road from the boat…

Hidden Gem

We spent three days/two nights. We got to campground around 10am. Their was a few people already setup. They have hookups for RVs and campers. A few spots for handicap accessible. They remolded the first bathroom. Two showers and four bathrooms. Shower is fancy, it has a rain shower faucet.…

Lakeside Dispersed Camping

We have camped here several times in our trailer over the past few months. Lakeside dispersed camping is competitive, so get there early on a Friday if you plan to be there over a weekend. There are also designated campsites with tables, but they are quite a bit farther from the lake. Lakeside…

Quiet spot off the highway

Drove in and veered to the right to a campground that had a firepit next to a juniper bush that provided some nice privacy. Very quiet at night, did some hiking around the area and lots of desert wildflowers and landscape. Does have a trashcan but not much else. We had a 17ft sprinter van and…

Nice location, overcrowded quickly.

When calling they said they have 5 “first come-first serve” camps. Well, we were able to get one, pay the fee, yet others kept coming to where there were WAY more than 5 camps being used. 2 people went off to the north of the shoreline and a large group came in later and camped off in the field.…

Great stopover for long roadtrips

This is an AMAZING and easy stopover on the way from Colorado to California. It is within an hour of Hurricane and a little over an hour from Vegas.

It is a perfect water stop on hot days. The camping is only $8 per site. They are open to the elements but on a long drive it is a welcomed…

Showers were not working when we visited and we missed having a BBQ pit but otherwise great trip. Kids enjoyed fishing. Views were great. Weather was awesome.
