ATV dream 😍

This is the spot for ATV riding and four wheel drive vehicles. The views are breathtaking. I remember camping here as a kid, before there was a campground.

Mostly for families with kids

The sites here are super close together so be prepared for that.

The water and electric are at the very back of very looong spaces so you May need an extension, depending on how close you want to be to your neighbor.

Decent close to Tahoe

Large clean vault toilets and drinking water, nice hosts, large sites that would be good for rvs. Some noise from highway but the road quiets down after dark. Trail down to the river and lots of little beaches which are lovely, saw some folks fishing. Nice and safe- female solo traveler thumbs up.

Cute and cramped

Stayed one night and was fairly impressed by upkeep and amenities (nice bathrooms and showers) but campsites are really close and there is little to no privacy. Short walk across the highway to the beach, which is nice, but couldn’t get over proximity to other campers. We enjoyed our night but…

Great place

This is a great little place! Very well kept, clean and paved sites, and plenty of space for our 31 foot trailer. It was about 10 minute drive to Reno, which was perfect for our family. We will definitely be visiting again!

Urban Camping

We arrived early after a long drive. They immediately checked us in, gave us resort keys that allow access to the whole of the resort property. My kids loved the pool. The RV section when we first arrived was a large parking lot. No trees. No grass aside from the immediate vicinity of office. The…

In town

Nice people run the place and it is in walking distance to the lake. You are close to the road and it is busy. Because of this three star rating was given.

Small, cute and quiet.

Being a new visitor to WA, we wanted to spend our first night in the middle of nowhere and this did it.

A bit of a climb for our truck camper so 4x4 was handy. There were some lower tree branches but easy to (delicately) pull to the side to get by. The road is 1 lane, gravel but nicely maintained.…

Lovely Camp! Quiet

We had a lovely night here at Jamison Creek Campground in Plumas-Eureka SP! We are from the Midwest & some local friends recommended this spot. Our site (36) was spacious, had great trees to sling up the hammock, and backed up to the creek which provided a lovely soundtrack. The moonlight that…

Clean, kind, and pretty, but right along a road

The groundskeeper is very friendly and takes great care of the land. There was plenty of parking space, picnic tables, and a large fire pit at the group site. The river is beautiful. The only con is this campground is right off of a road, so you hear and see cars traveling by.

Clean, spacious but a little noisy

Camping during a heat wave so RVs had generators going and tent site near us was having a party. But overall this was chill, plenty of spots on a Sunday evening in July, easy to find (don’t use the GPS directions from this app - nav to Fort Churchill and camp is in the park.

Cell service came and…

Great Spot for Exploring Plumas Eureka

If the first place you think of when you hear “the Sierra Nevada mountains” is Tahoe or Yosemite, I would strongly encourage you to explore points north of Truckee/Tahoe in the Plumas National Forest. And, a great place to stay while exploring the area is Little Bear RV park. This clean, quiet, and…

Coyote Group Camp

• Large croup camp site with lots of flat places to pitch a tent. • Clean pit toilets. • 3x Bear food and 4x trash/recycling bins. • 2 (or 3?) water spigots • 4 big picnic tables • Some shade • Uneven terrain around sites and lots of fallen trees • Lots of parking, including triller/RV parking.…
