## Overview

Campers looking to enjoy a scenic stay on the clear waters of the Black River, will enjoy the calming riverside atmosphere at Highway K Park. 

## Recreation

Fishing and canoeing are very popular on the river, where campers also enjoy wading out into the clear waters during warmer months. 

## Facilities

The campground offers 83 sites, including many with electric hookups and some sites with water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, hot showers, a picnic shelter and playground.

## Natural Features

Highway K is a few miles upstream of Clearwater Lake on the Black River. Campsites extended over both sides of the river bank, in a lush, wooded area of mixed hardwoods. 

## Nearby Attractions

The Elephant Rocks State Park, Johnson Shut-ins State Park, and the historic Civil War site at Fort Davidson State Park make for an interesting, scenic day trip.

Highway K

## Overview

Roomy campsites surrounded by open lawn and natural shading, cool breezes, abundant songbirds and scenic views all await visitors at the Sutton Bluff Recreation Area. The campground is a popular site for those using the nearby designated Sutton Bluff off-road vehicle trails. 

## Recreation

A 20 mile off-road vehicle trail can be accessed from the campground. Permits are required for off-road vehicle use in the area. The Karkaghne section of the Ozark Trail, which is popular among backpackers, hikers and mountain bikers, is accessible from a trailhead less than a mile from the campground. The West Fork of Black River provides access to a serene, slow-moving mountain stream and a natural gravel beach. Visitors enjoy wading in the waters, however the current is not strong enough to enable floating the river. Anglers can enjoy a variety of bass and bluegill.

## Facilities

The campground offers multiple single-family sites and a large group site that can accommodate up to 32 guests. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills, and electric hookups are available for RVs. Accessible vault and flush toilets, hot showers and drinking water are also provided. Firewood and ice are available by purchase from the campground host. A group picnic pavilion, equipped with about 10 tables, as well as grills, is perfect for large parties or family functions. Camping Sites #29, #32 and #33 have short parking spaces that are not able to accommodate large RVs/Trailers. Please take this into account when reserving sites. 

## Natural Features

Sutton Bluff is located 13 miles outside Centerville, Missouri, on the Black River. It is nestled among a variety of short-leaf pine trees and shrubs, and a number of campsites sit alongside the West Fork of the Black River.

The small mining town of Centerville is located roughly six miles from the campground.

Sutton Bluff Recreation Area

Castor River Ranch Campground offers a peaceful, private river-front camping experience in a natural setting yet has immediate access to state highway DD. All of our RV/Campsites are very spacious and are furnished with picnic tables, stone fire pits, septic, electric (30 - 50-110 amp) and spring- water. We offer canoe/ kayak/tube out fitting and a shuttle service for float trips. The Castor River offers some of the best small mouth bass fishing found anywhere. In addition to river activities, we have 140 acres of hiking trails that contain a piece of the old Missouri Pacific Railroad bed and a tunnel dating back to the 1800's. CRRC also has fenced pasture and water available for those equestrians who prefer to go camping with their horses.  We have horse trails, kayaks, canoes, and floating available on the beautiful Castor River!



Castor River Ranch Campground

Three miles from Ellington MO. Trails for miles for ATVs, OHVs, and Horses. Ride to Clearwater Lake Conservation Area for thousands of acres to ride or hike. Also 5 miles from Current River Conservation. area and 12 miles from the Black River for kayaking, canoeing, floating and fishing. Stalls available for your horses. Bring your boat or rent one at Clearwater Lake. They also offer pontoons and jet skies. Blue Springs, Johnson Shut Inns, and Elephant Rock State Park are just a few of the places to go in the area.



Four Creeks Ranch Campground

This 1200 acre property used to be the beautiful Cherokee Ridge Girl Scout camp until it was sold in 2019. We have went through extensive renovations and development to bring this property to the public so that it can be enjoyed by our guests. River access and our private gravel/sand bars are available exclusively to our guests and have provided some of the most peaceful weekends imaginable.

We have everything from glamping tents right on the river bluff to 16 fully equipped cabins with hot tubs overlooking the 23 acre lake with a beach and activities.

We have 4 Conestoga Wagons that are heated and air conditioned complete with picnic table and fire ring. A must see!

46 RV sites with picnic tables fire/grill pits with a variety of 30 and 50 amp pull-through and back-in sites. We offer float trips, rental boats/paddle boards for the lake, and rental golf carts to adventure around the park.

The park is going through endless development to continue to provide everyone with the most enjoyable and peaceful vacation possible.

Black River Hideaway Campground is a full hookup campground located in the beautiful Ozark mountains of Southeast Missouri. Our campground offers 25 full hookup campsites along with 4 , two bedroom nightly rental cabins. We are located about a 1/4 mile from the K bridge access on the crystal clear Black River. Our other amenities include a campground store wit shower house, hiking trails, a two acre stocked fishing lake, horseshoe pits, basketball court, and a sand volleyball court. Within short driving distance we have floating trips on Black River, Johnson shut-ins state park, Elephant Rocks state park, Blue Springs, and Clearwater Lake. Black River Hideaway Campground

## Overview

Bluff View Campground on Clearwater Lake greets visitors with excellent camping, fishing, swimming, boating and picnicking opportunities.   
  
Local wildlife includes wetland waterfowl, fox, deer, turkey, and geese. Bald eagles nest at Clearwater, and remain in the area year-round. 

## Recreation

A trailhead for the Bluff View Nature Trail begins at the campground. This is a wonderful loop trail to look for wildlife among a mix of towering hardwood trees. 

## Facilities

Bluff View Campground offers 60 sites, including many with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, hot showers, boat ramp, playground, interpretive trail, public phones and a swimming area.

## Natural Features

The lake, surrounded by the picturesque hills of the Ozarks, is fed by the Black River. Average temperatures range from 33 to 59 degrees Fahrenheit in March, and 65 to 92 degrees in summer.

In the area, campers enjoy visiting traditional drive-in movie theaters, the Sam A. Baker State Park, local golf courses, and the historic Civil War site at Fort Benton.
