Meramec Caverns is just one hour from the heart of St. Louis, and offers lodging, camping, and canoeing in addition to guided tours of the cave. 


The quaint and historic Graham Cave State Park is just over an hour west of St. Louis, and offers a walk through ancient history along with year-round camping availability, five hiking trails, and over 386 scenic acres to explore. Take a trip down literature lane and visit the famous Mark Twain Cave near Hannibal, MO. Mark Twain, a Hannibal native himself, incorporates the maze-like cave in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Edgewater Beach Resort is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There are 2 RV sites at Edgewater that are located just a few feet from the water's edge. Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, as well as a picnic table and private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the upmost privacy. The resort has a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $16 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat.

If you want to sight-see, hike, or simply take a stroll on our scenic 2.5 mi walking trail which ends up at the historic Cotter Big Spring Park. The natural beauty and wildlife of the area is truly amazing. We are an easily accessible campground near Cotter on Highway 62/412, in a quiet peaceful river valley away from the noise and flow of highway traffic.

Bull Creek RV Park sits just 1.5 miles east of HWY 65 at the 465/F Hwy exit in Branson, MO, just minutes away from several attractions. We have 39 full-hookup sites, each sporting 30 and 50 amp power, 110-volt receptacles, and city sewer/water. Once inside the park, you will enjoy flat, newly paved streets, huge campsites with 30' between each site, and a peaceful setting. Our best amenity is the spring-fed Bull Creek, which runs adjacent to the park. With nearly 400 feet of creek access, you'll catch yourself staring at the beautiful waterway, letting all life's troubles fade away. While recouping from your daily excursions in and around Branson, you can enjoy our massive community fire pit where stories will be told, smores will be eaten, and memories will be made. Bring the pups and enjoy our Dog Park as well!

Branson has so many attractions to choose from. Take part in recreation opportunities like canoeing, kayaking, boating, and fishing. Branson is about an hour south of Springfield and about 15 minutes north of the Arkansas state line. It sits along the White River and features wonderful, beautiful scenery.

Hercules Glades Wilderness Area is 12,413 acres of the most scenic and unique country in the Midwest. Its combination of open grassland, forested knobs, steep rocky hillsides, and narrow drainages offers unusual beauty and a measure of solitude within easy reach of wilderness lovers. The area is characterized by shallow droughty soils and limestone rock outcroppings. Eastern red cedar and oak trees are interspersed with open glades supporting native tall prairie grasses. Redbud and dogwood provide beautiful spring flowers, while smoke tree and maple put on vivid fall colors. A variety of wildlife species live within the Hercules Glades including white-tailed deer, raccoons rabbits, squirrels, turkey, quail, songbirds, lizards and snakes. Copperheads and rattlesnakes may be encountered. Roadrunners, collared lizards, tarantulas, wild hogs and black bears are some of the more uncommon wildlife residents.

Limit your party size to 10 persons. No camping within 100 feet of trails, water sources and other camps.Practice Leave No Trace outdoor ethics; Never tie stock directly to trees. No motorized or mechanized equipment allowed.

Trails: From the trailheads there is 32 miles of maintained trails which follows along open glades, forested ridgetops and Long Creek, the primary drainage of the area. Cross country hiking in other parts of the area is allowed. Key attractions along the trail include Long Creek Falls, panoramic views of the Ozarks countryside, and a variety of native communities including open limestone glades and mixed forests.

Rating: More Difficult to Most Difficult with steep terrain, stream crossings, sparsely marked trail, and elevations from 600 to 1200 feet.

Oakland Park is a small but popular recreation spot with 32 campsites and all the modern campground amenities to keep campers comfortable. The campground sits on Bull Shoals Lake, a favorite destination for water sports and prime fishing. Natural Features: Bull Shoals Lake, stretching more than 71,000 acres, is fed from the White River. The river flows from northwest Arkansas to south-central Missouri, and then loops back into central Arkansas where it eventually flows into the Mississippi River. Recreation: Boating, water skiing, fishing and swimming are all favorite activities on the lake. Hiking and hunting are also popular sports on the public land surrounding the lake. Facilities: Most sites lack natural shade, but the picnic tables have canopies for a break from the sun. Sites include electric hookups, and the campground boasts a nice playground, marina and beach area for swimming. Nearby Attractions: Head to the Bull Shoals-White River State Park and explore its two hiking trails. The Big Bluff Trail offers views of the White River below Bull Shoals Dam, and the Lakeside Trail meanders along the shores of the lake.

Oakland Park

## Overview

Lakeview Park Campground is located on Bull Shoals Lake. Set in the scenic Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas and southern Missouri, the lake has hundreds of miles of lake arms and coves perfect for boating, water sports, swimming, fishing and scuba diving.   
  
The lake also appeals to birders, naturalists, hunters and visitors seeking a fun and peaceful place to relax along the water.

## Recreation

The lake is a water sports paradise. Marinas offer boat rentals, supplies and guides for hire. Year-round fishing tournaments keep fishermen active as they seek out 12-pound bass and other species ranging from pan fish to walleye. The lake holds several state fishing records and the nearby White River is a premier trout fishery in the central United States.   
  
There is also a 1.5-mile nature trail that begins in the campground.

Lakeview Park Campground offers 78 campsites, all with electric hookups, along with two large group shelters.   
  
Amenities like hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, boat ramp, swimming area and playground make this campground popular among boaters, fishermen and families.

## Natural Features

Lakeview is a large park with wooded campsites on a bluff overlooking the water. The lake and surrounding mountains are popular year-round as each season unfolds a new panorama. Summer contrasts lush green hardwoods and cedar glades against towering rocky bluffs and unusual rock formations. Fall foliage presents the renowned "flaming fall revue."   
  
Watching and photographing wildlife can be enjoyed in developed and undeveloped areas alike. Each year more than 100 bald eagles winter in the Bull Shoals area.
