Ended up staying on the horse site post-labor day when there were only other tent campers. Site is a wide open and well-groomed, with trails just a short walk (or ride) away.
Toilets and covered picnic tables nearby.
If you're looking for a nice quiet peaceful campground, this is not it! It's a fun, family centered, campground. There is SO much to do just within the campground itself (for all ages) People rent the golf carts and decorate them with various themes. Clean camp ground, nice people one thing I…
Starve Hollow Lake SRA has full hook ups at half the campground and electric water access on the other half. Small lake for boating and canoeing and kayaking. Fun atmosphere friendly staff
A great stop to stay and check out the caves!
Our site was F33. Nice size. We had to navigate around the tree for our awning but it gave us some much needed shade for the heat. The comfort station closest to our campsite was clean and seemed well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.
First time at Starve Hollow. Camped with a group of the family. Impressed with the showers and bathrooms, and cannot get over the large amount of shade trees! Was able to take the dogs and ourselves for a few hikes, the bait shop was a wonderful bonus. Only negative of the whole trip was the blue…
This was our first stop of our summer road trip and it was just what we were looking for. After driving from Virginia we wanted to find a nice, easy place to set up camp for the night and the Saddle Lake area was perfect. There were a bunch of sites still available when we got there in the evening.…

This was perfect being only 20 minutes from our home. It was quiet and the bathrooms were super clean. The sites were flat and generous.
Well kept grounds. Lake, trails, frisbee golf and 9 hole golf course are all a part of the grounds. They host different themed events. Only complaint was the camp store wasn’t open when advertised
I did not know what I reserved when I did, so it was pleasant surprise when we pulled up to a pull-through site with full utilities and lake front. Very quiet, amazing sunsets, unbelievably clean and well-kept park. Each site has its own trash can that staff haul off. There’s a creek that runs the…

This was our first time camping and I must say I absolutely loved our site. We were on a primitive site number 109. Though the ground was a little rocky the lake views were spectacular. There was a porto potty in walking distance. When we first arrived it was pretty clean but after the weekend it…

After reading negative reviews from 2020, I was hesitant that they were true. That all of the critters from Louisville flock to this area. That wasn’t entirely untrue. This place is absolutely great for people watching, but expect the quiet time hours to not be enforced and a large number of dogs…
If you’re into backpacking but live in the Midwest, this is the place to go. There are enough trails to keep you busy for days, beautiful lakeside camping, and peaceful pine groves. Only downside is that most trails are also equestrian. If you don’t mind a bit of horse poo on your boots, head here.

Nice family campground overall, but really geared toward the 8 and under crowd. Had a back in gravel site that was difficult to back into and sloped back. I had to nearly lower my tongue to the ground to get it level.
The splash park was fun, even for the teen kids, but the pool was tiny and…
Friendly Staff. Camp site was a pull through so very easy to set up. Was a full hook up site at that. We enjoyed our stay and visiting IU in the process. Great location and clean camp ground.
