Not for recreational camping

This was the weirdest place I've ever camped. The sites are in these very tight spaces with narrow roads. There are no campfires allowed, and your camper door opens right to the road. Check in is 2 pm SHARP (if you are arriving any later than that, the office is closed and it is a big inconvenience to the campground warden to assist you). And let me tell you, check out is SHARPLY 1:00pm. If you are not off their property at 1:01pm you WILL be charged another night. Strangest and least welcoming camping trip of my life!!

Older campground

Smaller campground with many older run down campers that are likely full time living here. All sites are pull through, and within 2 feet of the drive. Good spacing between sites, I didn’t feel like I was right up on my neighbors

Nice little sute

Burdette Park is on the west side of Evansville. Really nice park! Currently we are full timing there. They have maybe 24 full huck up spots and about 10 or so w/o sewer. 30/50 amp electric on all. All pads are drive through and very level. They don't have much going on in winter but summertime is great. Pool, trails, BMX racing on Friday nights and tons of shelters for your get-togethers! Wonderful camp managers!

Nice location

A park on the outskirts of Evansville Indiana. Has many things to do for the weekend. Many nearby attractions and activities. They have primitive tent sites RV sites with E&W,some also have sewer. Stay the weekend or up to 3 months or longer.

Sub-par campground

Cramped, hookups mis-placed and generally older and somewhat seedy. The county really needs to clean the campground up and evict some of the “Walt and Jessie” rv’s. It’s a jolt when you come up on it tucked in back by the bmx track. The park is a million times nicer than that campground.

Little bit of everything

Burdette Park is right outside Evansville, In. And BUSY.

BMX track, HUGE swimming pool/water park with slides and several other outdoor activities.

I didn't love the RV park , the sites are very close together, very little privacy.

Some of the primitive sites have a lot of privacy, some are a little close, but if your with a group it would work well.

There are Chalets to rent, Shelters and for a big crowd the Discovery Lodge.

The Burdette walking trail was about 3miles long, not a lot of shade but very well laid out.

I did not go to the pool, but saw it on the way up the hill to the camping area. It is HUGE and looks like a lot of fun.

Lastly there was an actual BMX track. Practice Wednesdays, Races Friday per schedule, big thing since the 80's.

The campground includes approximately 24 full hookup sites (water, electric, and sewer) and about 10 water/electric sites without sewer. All sites are positioned close to the main drive with good spacing between neighboring sites. Stays can range from weekend visits to extended stays of three months or longer. What recreational activities are available at Burdette Park besides camping?

Burdette Park offers an impressive array of recreational activities beyond camping. The centerpiece is a huge swimming pool and water park complex with water slides. The park also features a BMX track, mini-golf course, and hiking trails. These diverse activities make it particularly appealing for families looking to keep everyone entertained. While winter months see reduced activities, the summer season brings the full range of recreational options. The extensive park facilities provide a stark contrast to the more modest campground area, giving campers plenty of options to fill their days with outdoor fun and adventure.

Is there a map of Burdette Park Campground to help with site selection?

While specific information about an official campground map isn't available, understanding the layout can help with site selection. Burdette Park Campground features all pull-through sites arranged along narrow roads, with camper doors opening directly to the road. Sites are positioned close to the driving lanes but maintain decent spacing between neighboring campers. For the most current map information and assistance with selecting the best site for your needs, contact the campground office directly before your visit. This is especially important since the campground has both full hookup sites and water/electric sites.

How does Burdette Park compare to other RV parks near Evansville, Indiana?

Burdette Park is conveniently located on the outskirts of Evansville, offering both advantages and limitations compared to other area RV parks. The campground features all pull-through sites with 30/50 amp electric hookups, with approximately 24 full hookup spots and about 10 water/electric sites. While the location is convenient, the sites are quite close together with minimal privacy, and some campers note the presence of older, permanent RVs.
