S and H Campground

Great staff, super helpful! Put us in their “VIP” spots on the “hill”. Access to the family fun zone including in the stay. So much for our littles to do! And totally safe and clean.

To start, the property is beautiful and they have a lot of extra amenities that would be great for families. However for a solo or couple just looking for hookups and little else, it’s just not worth it. 80 dollars a night on a weekend all in is a little steep when that’s all you’re looking for. I don’t fault the campground owners. The extras would definitely be worth it if you had kids. But for me it just wasn’t worth it. They have a pool, stocked pond, game room, ice cream shop and cafe. Decent camp store. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Ok ok giving S an H credit where it is due- I retract my original review which was written while enduring abnormal and unusual Memorial Day/Race Day traffic and hype thaty everyone was on that came with the Holiday and the race.

Still being here after the dust settled and crowds have gone away the place is actually very quaint and comfortable. I would recommend this place as a 5 star camping option especially for any families Id just say of looking for peace and quiet DO NOT come on a holiday! Thank you Sand H for making my stay as good as you could I appreciate the effort and turned out to have enjoyed your site very much..Have a great season!

This campground was wonderful. We stayed on a Thursday, but saw that they have a ton of activities going on during the weekend including live music and cornhole tournaments. We will def be back for a weekend. There is a pool which looked clean and well maintained. It is mostly RVs. We had a tent spot along the creek (38 I think?). The only thing we didn't like was the bathroom conditions. The floor tiles were breaking off and there was certainly a mold issue. We went on a 22 day cross country road trip and this was the only shower I didn't shower in (used the shower bag we brought instead). That is saying a lot... I definitely don't have high standards for camp showers. Otherwise, a good experience. Customer service was great & I hope they can renovate the bathrooms bc it's a great spot!!

Looking for a monthly campsite in the Indianapolis area proved to be a challenge. We were so unsure about staying here as reviews we hit or miss. Decided to take a gamble and give it a try and it’s been great! Friendly service, Lots to do for the kiddos. Plenty of amenities on the weekend. Downsides - our site was incredibly uneven. Nobody cleans up after their dogs. All in all very grateful for a place to call home for a couple of months.

Spots are extremely close together. Also, gravel is throughout the campground so don’t bother bringing bicycles. One of the great things about the campground is their dining facilities and all the activities they have for kids.

Very nice campground. They have a little section full of carnival like rides. Several playgrounds! Campground big and spacious, highly recommend. Perfect distance from speedway.

This is a good family campground with a lot to do: a pool, worn out putt-putt, a little restaurant, small carnivalesque rides, and a decent camp store. The Saturday night we stayed they were playing a kids movie in one part of the campground and live music “on the hill.” It got 4 stars because the shower house left a lot to be desired: clogged drain, broken tiles, no hot water, tiny bathroom stalls. Overall, though, this would be a fun place to spend a long weekend with your family.

This campground is huge. They are family owned and at first glance seem a little dingy or that they have a lack of care but this is not the case. They are very laid back and allow their campers to enjoy their experience as they wish to enjoy it whether that is long term or short term. They do have certain rules like every other campground but as long as you bide by those rules it's a very relaxed environment with very friendly staff and campers. If you are looking for a clean polished luxury campground, this is not the campground for you. But we like a little dirt so it suits us just fine.

My experience at this location has been fun and staff is helpful could be a little cleaner but would camp there again.

This is one of the worst campground I have ever been at can I say a lot of junk campers , dirty pool , dirty jumpy houses that I wouldn’t let my grandson play in , a man who appear to be under the influence was walking around on other campers lot but no one called the police or security our pick up truck got a bottle throw at it and leave a dent we stayed a month yet other monthly site all payed a different price then we did roads weren’t paved dust all over the place lots were so small.. on the other side it looks like the owner tried to make this place nice just fell short wouldn’t stay again unless things changed
