Not impressed

Overall….meh. The RV sites are not on any type of paved or level ground and are not suitable for larger RVs. They're VERY close together and there are a lot of trees. They call them "pull through" sites but there isn't enough room to pull through and turn onto the road (you could barely pull a…

Nice quite clean campground

This campground is nice and well kept. Facilities are fairly new. Close to tensas river. Only negative is there are virtually no trees in campground and it’s a little pricey at $40 a night

Be ready to hike it in primitive tent

My wife and I stayed for 3 days. The worst part was had to hike in about a mile to primitive camp and the spots are not well marked. One we got set up though had a great time beautiful spot. Then had to pack and hike out

Hidden Gem

This place totally surprised us with how nice it was! They accept Passport America, so a full hookup sight was about $9/night. $18 without Passport America. Sites are large and private. Many are pull through. We had our own kayaks and bikes, so we went kayaking in the creek and mountain biking on…

Beautiful Well Maintained Huge Park

April 4, 2021 Camper Van Site: Harper #7 Primitive $20 Over 2,000 acres crisscrossed with trails. Interesting replication of the ghost town of Blakeley which disappeared around 1830, but before then it rivaled Mobile in population and economy. Harper loop, where I camped, is at least a mile into…

Giant Spots!

Giant Rv spots that were very spaced and secluded. Staff were great although not very attentive. We left out in the evening to visit friends and they wanted to know what time we’d be back. We said we weren’t sure and they seemed a little out off because they had to “close the gate”. They just said…

Great stay

Super friendly staff and the spots, wowza, they are huge and all pull through. Bring your bikes, lots of roads to explore with little traffic. Oh, and all sites also have sewer!

In The Swamp Creek

This is a neat little campground that kinda sits between 8 mile and Saraland,AL. Not a very big area for you to camp if you have a pull behind or big RV. But people do manage to get the bigger camper and RV's in and parked. Could use a little more clean up in the three bathhouses and around the…

Another Free Riverside Campground

Nice sites spread throughout the recreation area. Although they are free they most be reserved online at www.camplife.com. the sites each have a picnic table, fire ring and grill. They are currently working to add pavilions at each site. Trash and a porta potty are located on site. There is also a…

Spacious and Historic

Harper Campground is designed for tent camping, $20 for unimproved and $30 for improved (electricity and water). If you have a $20 site, you have to bum water from one of the $30 sites. The restroom is nice and clean, showers are hot, and dumpsters are close to restrooms, but is a bit of a walk…
