Pinhoti trail is breath taking! The trail has numerous look out points. Every view is breathtaking. We camped out here and the lands are very well maintained! We camped along the trail so it was very secluded. I think up another half mile was a camp site but we didn’t venture there. Only down fall…
The camp sites were very spacious and had stunning views. Very quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed that the park authorities would patrol for security once or twice a night just for added security and piece of mind. We stayed at the bottom campground and the bathhouse and rest rooms were clean and…

The secluded campsites give tons of privacy and the views/hiking around the park are great!
One night stop and it’s a great place. Water, electric and sewer which is a huge plus. No cable or internet, AT&T has one bar and no over the air television. We relaxed and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Sites are level and easy to access
Desoto State Park is a beautiful park with great hiking and waterfalls. The primitive camping area has a keyed gate. Make sure you arrive during business hours so they can get you registered and give you a key. They will also give you a big card with your last name on it that you will put on the…

I drove into this RV park and there was a large sign that said “Absolutely no tent camping. Call for an explanation.” So the next closest campground I found was Desoto State Park but primitive camping is locked so arrive during business hours.
We have visited Sloppy Floyd twice and would stay again. Nice large spaces, could be more level. Great for families and kids with large playground. Clean bathhouse with$1.50 load laundry. Nice Camp host has been there for years and looks after the kids

We stayed the week after Labor Day and the place was mostly empty which was nice. It started filling up on Friday and once we had neighbors all around us, I realized how close some of the sites were. We stayed in site 42 in upper improved campground. It wasn’t the best for our large rig but we made…

Great hosts and great spots. Needs better parking for primitive camping.
Beautiful and quiet camping on the water! Campgrounds are clean and well kept with friendly keepers. We loved our camping trip and thoroughly enjoyed the trails and walking trails that cut through the campground Iron Hill.

Had a blast with the kiddos this weekend. Had plenty of things to keep the kids entertained and loved that I could take my kayak out into the water easily. Spaces are a little tight so if you have a bigger rig be sure to get a pull through and you’ll be fine. This is definitely a must see place !…

This is a really great option super close to the racetrack. The facilities are really nice and the staff takes great care of the space. They even have a dog run to let your pets run around. I don't know if it would be my first choice if I were tent camping but with an RV it is a wonderful place to…

This park is absolutely gorgeous and feels like you’re on top if the world. There is a diverse range of campsites so make sure to look at the pictures before you reserve to ensure the site will fit your needs. The campground is gated and the staff is helpful and friendly. The views from the top are…
They have water Front camping on the weather and Forrest for RV’s of all sizes pull through and back in . Full hook-ups and dump station to boot . Also tent camping .
Beautiful sites but we gotta there at 5.... Told open till 10. Visitor check in closed and no directions on how you get in. Campground ended up being a few miles from check in. We weren't given coffee to get in gate.... Signs once in were one way but you couldn't tell where they wanted you to go.…
