Free is a good price

Campground consists of open grassy areas with picnic tables and fire grates. Very nice lake, but some industrial type structures interfere with the view from the campground. The campground slopes toward the lake, so finding level ground is a challenge. We stayed Saturday night and there were…

Clean facilities, full hookup sites with concrete pads. A pool for the warm months, and a conservation site across the street. Plenty of fishing on the Mississippi river

Nice place to stay

We stopped here as we were heading east. Nice lakes plus swimming and boating facilities. We stayed by Wakonda Lake in sn oversized site with steps leading down to a little beach. Camp host ssid years ago it used to house a duplex cabin but was flooded out in 1997. Full hookup and small bathhouse…

Nice Spot

We liked this place. Very clean & quiet, but busy. Campground was full during our stay (2 nights).

Site 6 a modern concrete pad, level, & spacious. Camp hosts were great.

Beach is very nice. Lots of folks with small fishing boats having fun.

5 minute drive into town for…

Marvel Would Be Proud

This campsite is PERFECT. We only stayed 1 night but we couldn’t get over the privacy for the amazing price. Quiet campsite. Easy access and gorgeous stars at night. Would definitely stay if we’re ever around again.

A Place No One Wants To Leave

GREAT weekend! Vast sandy beach, volleyball net and sidewalk width concrete pathway to the water. Spacious CLEAN showers, bathrooms easy for littles to be big and do it on their own, push button style showers stop risk of being burned complete with final pull chain for those sandy feet. Wakonda State Park

Very quiet state park. The sites are very large and our rv site has a cement pad. It makes for an easy setup. We have a water view. Great for fishing. There are also full hookups. There's a playground and boat access and swimming.

Convenient stop

Looking for an overnight stay on a long road trip. Park is close to highway, fairly empty on a Monday night. Easy pull through site close to lake. Quiet. Bathhouse nothing fancy, could have been cleaner. Easy access to dump station. Staff very friendly.

Great corner spot

Even though it rained like crazy. Me and my husband loved this spot, especially with 3 perfect trees close enough to put our hammocks up! Will definitely be coming back to this spot. Down the road a walk away. There is a trail that leads right to the water where we were able to have a swim and not…

Quite and Peaceful

Me and my husband have camped here numerous times since we’ve gotten a camper and love it every time. Good trails, clean campsites, easily access to stores if anything is needed.

I would not stay there.

There were a few full hook-ups. Most people are permanent residents. The google photos must be from years ago and it has really gone downhill since. There is little to no up keep. There is no place to check in.

Only stayed over night

The lady we booked with was super nice. She met us in the rain and got us to our sites. The spots we had were very close together. Would not have enjoyed that if we were there longer. I think there are other spots with more room, but not 100% sure? We had full hook ups. They looked to be working on…

My family stayed in our popup last September and it was great. Friendly staff, nice clean bathroom and showers. Spot on beautiful pond. It was great to be able to fish from our site. Close to geode hunting locations!! Quiet. There is also a restaurant on site. We did not go but there were always…
