Moon Lake Retreat consists of 77 acres of woods, water, and pastureland. The lake is fully stocked with trophy bass, panfish, and catfish. If you walk on the south end of the property, you will see geese, cranes, and wood ducks. In the spring, you might even see a turkey strut!

Davis Lake Recreation Area is home to beautiful Davis Lake, Campground and Day Use Area, popular for all kinds of recreational opportunities, including swimming, fishing, boating, birding and wildlife viewing. The surrounding scenic forests make Davis Lake a picturesque place to spend quality time outdoors. Recreation Davis Lake covers 200 acres and provides multiple recreational opportunities. A grassy swimming beach is situated on the shore, where many anglers cast for largemouth bass, hybrid striped bass, crappie, catfish and bream. The campground has 14 sites on the lake, many of them with space to anchor a boat. A 2-mile trail wanders along the north edge of the lake to several earthen fishing piers. Visitors can also spend time birding, watching for a variety of geese and ducks that migrate through the area. Hawks, herons, bluebirds and doves are also plentiful, among many other species. Wildlife viewing is also available, as foxes and bobcats call the area home. The Chickasaw OHV Trail is a newly renovated 12-mile motorized trail that is within three miles of the campground. The trailhead lies between the Davis Lake recreation area and the Natchez Trace Parkway. It is within a mile of the Owl Creek Mounds archaeological interpretive site. It is open between April 1 and Oct. 31, for hunting. The trail accommodates off-road vehicles 48-inches in width or less. Cyclists and hikers will enjoy the Tanglefoot Trail. This multiple-use Rails-to-Trails path is located 5 miles west of Davis Lake. It runs 43.5 miles from Houston to New Albany, MS through Houlka, Algoma, Pontotoc, Ecru, and Ingomar. Facilities The recreation area offers more than two dozen campsites, a picnic area, a group shelter, accessible flush toilet facilities and a dump station. Davis Lake has multiple fishing docks, including some that are accessible. Campsites are equipped with tables, lantern posts and campfire rings with grills. Drinking water is provided. A picnic shelter can also be reserved on-site, for an additional $40 per day fee. Natural Features The campground is situated in a hilly, mixed hardwood and pine forest that stretches along the eastern shore of the lake. It is located within 4 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a 444-mile drive through exceptional scenery and 10,000 years of North American history. Nearby Attractions The recreation area is located 21 miles south of Tupelo, Mississippi, and 12 miles north of Houston. The Owl Creek Mounds, an archaeological interpretive site containing Native American ruins, is about 50 miles away. The Witchdance Horsetrail is an 18-mile horseback riding trail that can be accessed from both the Payamatha Trailhead (on Highway 32, west of the Natchez Trace and east of Highway 15), or the Witchdance trailhead, that lies on the Natchez Trace Parkway (approximately 5 miles east of Houston). Davis Lake Campground

## Overview

Whether it's fishing, boating, camping, or picnicking, Grenada Lake has something for everyone. Located near Gore Springs, Mississippi, North Graysport Campground is far enough inland from the lake to avoid the sounds of motorboats, but close enough for a short drive to fishing, boating and swimming.

## Recreation

Birding opportunities are bountiful, and wildlife photographers will be happy to find everything from waterfowl to bluebirds and white-tailed deer.   
  
In and around the lake are baseball fields, fitness trails, golfing, tennis and much more.

## Facilities

The campground has 50 campsites, each with water and electric hookups, and sewer hookups have been added to campsites # 1-50. Additional amenities include hot showers, a boat ramp and an amphitheater.

## Natural Features

Grenada Lake is fed by the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers in Mississippi. The dual river pathways create a V-shaped lake, and the campground sits on the land between this "V". At 215 ft. elevation, the man-made lake has about 148 miles of shoreline and holds 35,820 acres of water. 

## Nearby Attractions

The lake is a wonderful setting for exploration. Head to the Visitor Center to learn about Grenada Lake, and visit the city of Grenada to see historic sites like the civil war fort built by Confederates to fortify their territory along the Mississippi Central Railroad.

## Overview

North Abutment Campground is located on the north end of Grenada Dam on Grenada Lake. The campground is an excellent destination for boating and fishing.   
  
The region is steeped in history, with an array of civil war landmarks. In summer, Grenada Lake is home to the annual Thunder on Water Safe Boating Festival. Featured events include concerts, a youth fishing rodeo, tractor pull and fireworks display.

## Recreation

In addition to general lake activities like boating, fishing, picnicking and sailing, the region boasts a sports complex, baseball fields, an 18-hole golf course and a fitness trail.

## Facilities

This modern campground is equipped with 88 RV site pads, each with a parking apron and 50 amp electric and water hookups and campsites #2-15 are equipped with sewer hookups. Of the 88 campsites 56 are reservable and the remaining 32 are non-reservable. The lake is accessible via nearby boat ramps, found just outside of the campground. The campground also has an amphitheater in Phase 1.

## Natural Features

The campground is on the north shore of Grenada Lake. Several campsites face the water May through August, but the water level is dropped for water storage in winter, making the shoreline as far as a mile from the campground. Within the campground there is a small 17 acre lake that has a swimming beach and is stocked with Bream, Largemouth Bass, and Catfish for the campers to enjoy catching. Grenada Lake is on the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers in Mississippi. The man-made lake has about 148 miles of shoreline and holds 35,820 acres of water.
