If you are in sites 1-38 they are wooded with some privacy between sites. Some have a nice view of the lake. We were in site 34 which was spacious. Easy access to the All Ranks Club and a small Exchange.

We stayed the weekend before Halloween and it was a very busy weekend in the campground. Some sites were extravagantly decorated and trick or treating following a golf cart parade was fun. The park is nice. The only reason I did give 5 stars is because the boardwalks over the lake were in desperate need of repair and unsafe.

We had a blast at a site right on the water. Panoramic views of the lake. We were able to launch our kayaks right out of our spot and fish all day. Beautiful views of the sunset. We enjoyed the peaceful experience. Cell service: Verizon had no service and AT&T 2 bars.

I went ahead and booked online the favorite spot, hog's wallow. The spot is really nicely arbored, but big spiders all over the place, and ants nests everywhere as well, as soon as I got my food out they were all over . Went to see the shower and it was smelly and dirty as heck. It was enough for me to leave after an hour of visit. I asked for a refund , but they were not willing to do so, hence my comment.

GuideThis was the nicest campground we stayed at on our 4 week trip. Our level site was on a lovely pond, with a friendly duck. This is the first architecturally designed KOA facility I've seen in two years of camping in our RV. It looked new. It was nicely done. The pool is a good size, the communal kitchen area has barstools on two sides. They had two TVs and an inside/outside fireplace. The bathrooms have granite countertops, and very nice tile. I wish we'd brought our dog because they had a professional quality bathing/grooming room with a professional dog dryer. There are walking trails that look lovely. The woman who checked us in couldn't have been nicer, as was everyone we encountered at the campground. I wish we'd been able to stay longer and we hope to come back soon.

We were both astonished with the vacation feel of camping. We had a great time and our fur babies have slept the past two days since we’ve been back. They played so hard and we hiked a lot! I went camping for New Years. My campsite was right next to the bathrooms which was super convenient and surprisingly not noticeably busy. Thought I would have access to the water but didn’t. The hiking trail connects just across the road so easy access but kind of hard to find the trailhead. Enjoyed hiking the trail and had plenty of spots with water along the way for my dog. We hiked on the beach as well and it was quite peaceful we were basically the only ones.
GuideWe stayed at spot 31. Near the restrooms but not much through traffic. Dumpster was right next to the bathrooms. Not a lot of street lights throughout the campground made things nice and quiet at night. Spots were gravel and needed a lot of leveling front to back. The site had a very nice deck with a picnic table. The site had full hookups for water, electricity, and sewage. The site had great Verizon and T-mobile cell service, around 50-80 mbps for each. The hiking trails were very nice with lots of shorts and long options. The bike trails were also nice with a lot of different difficulty options to try, you can also rent bikes if needed. Overall the campground was clean, very quiet, very spacious, and is a perfect weekend getaway with fun activities. We camped at Bogue Chitto State Park in a Travel Trailer.
TravelerWe stayed in the Uplands RV area and it was great. Spots were gravel and big so it was pretty easy to back into, with nice patios and not too close together. Some spots had motorhomes on a lift on the front to be level, but most were fine. The bathrooms near us were clean but the showers did have some mold (did not use). The trails are really nice! You can tell a lot of work goes into continual improvement and upkeep.
Bring or rent bikes and canoes! Would visit again , for sure.

Me and my husband wanted a nice little getaway from the house so we decided to try out Clear water. It’s a very nice and relaxing rv park. I told my hubby it’s a retirement home but for campers 😅 a lot of snow birds from Michigan! We had a great time especially loved the fire ring we had on our lot which was great to have during the cold weather. Most of the other campgrounds I’ve been to haven’t had any kind of fire rings. The man that runs it takes very good care of the campground and when you buy firewood he actually bring it to you at your lot which was really great! They had a beautiful lit up pond with a fountain and water wheel at night. We had our two daughters with us which they loved going on a walk around the park and looking at the ducks. Just about everyone is friendly there. I’m going to go ahead and give it 5 stars but I wish there would have been a playground in the campground, but I understand they typically have snowbirds and not a lot of young couples with kids. But it was still nice and we really enjoyed it! They had a park down the road so we decided to just drive and take the girls to it. There is also a family dollar/dollar tree and a dollar general down the road which was about less then 4-5 mins away which was great and very convenient.

What an incredible place! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The lagoon was cool and refreshing, the deer came right to our campsite, the ducks and birds and squirrels all hung out too! Beautiful scenery and very clean. We stayed in BL6 ( perfect spot ) Not a great signal for internet but it didn’t matter much to me. Only issue we had was that the General store & cafe were not open during the week and we were not aware of that until we got settled and walked over to it. But other than that FANTASTIC!

The campsite is getting a make over in September so this may account for the apathy towards these facilities. No camp store but I was told this is coming next year.
TravelerThe road you drive on to get here has multiple signs warning that stray bullets may cross. The actual sites are littered with bullet casings and other trash. If it’s rainy or wet the ground turns to red mud you could get stuck in. But it’s free so.

Ok so I just tent camped here this past weekend in June. When I got to my campsite there was still trash everywhere. Mainly charcoal coals dumped next to the picnic table loaded with cigarettes. There was no fire ring so you could basically start a fire anywhere which I thought was strange. My neighbors were fine but there are no rules on what people can do. Trucks with boat trails were all over the place and most halfway on the road. I was fine driving around but I couldn’t imagine pulling a trailer through it. No camp store so that was a bummer. The registration office was so old and smelly I didn’t want to be in there. Not that there was much to it. The bathrooms were ok. Not dirty but old and hot. What I did like was the night sky. I saw lots of stars. Riding my bike around. Lots of roads for cruising. If you have a boat air Jets skis you would like this better. It just wasn’t for me.

We went when the river was high so the camp showers and restrooms were backed up. The second set of restrooms were open. The primitive grounds were spaced far anough apart and some were right on the river. It thunderstormed while we stayed so we didn’t get a chance to walk around and explore. The faculty were very patient and helpful considering they were slammed because of the kayak/canoe rental business. They took us by bus and we kayaked down to a pickup point and they brought us back to camp. It was $80 for two us of to kayak and primitive camp. We will definitely be back

There is a lot to do within the park– swimming, fishing(no license required), basketball, a playground for children, a dog park, a dog wash station. They just finished building a beautiful out door area with a kitchen, tables/chairs, game area, bathrooms and etc. Need to fill in the potholes in the drive. Need the gravel pad to be larger so you do not need step out into mud.
