GuideOverall, I'm pretty pleased with Percy Quin. Grounds are well kept and it's very peaceful - I can barely hear any road noise.! I'm at one of the premium primitive sites (raised wooden tent beds, tables and chairs but no electric or water) situated along the lakeshore. Some of the chairs need to be replaced or removed, and perhaps they should put the site letter markers facing the parking area instead of the water; but the restroom has AC! The RV sites seem very nice as well. There are large hickory nuts falling from the very tall trees. I have yet to be hit in the head with one bu
TravelerThis is a beautiful lakeside campground with lots of sites. It’s a larger campground that caters to RVs of all sizes, but is great for tent camping too! They allow tent camping in the “RV pads” but even better is they don’t make you pitch your tent on the concrete or gravel. You can pitch your tent in the grass. They also have a really really nice primitive area without hookups, but has water really close. It’s well maintained and shady all day.
The lake is beautiful. There is fishing and kayaking and boating. They do rent kayaks but idk how much. There are piers to fish off of.
This is a beautifully maintained park, but the BEST part for this tent camping gal? The bath houses ARE CLIMATE CONTROLLED!
To me this is kind of the best of both worlds. Enough nature to not feel like you’re in an rv resort, but all the amenities of one.
GuidePark layout is nice with probably 150 sites +/-. Some are close together. Others are well spaced and situated for some privacy. No one on site at night so when it gets loud or rowdy, you're on your own.
GuideWe stayed at camp spot 216 with our 36 ft class A RV. It had full hook up and our stay for 1 night was scenic and quiet. There is only ONE functioning bathroom in this lowered end camp ground at the time of our stay and is only has cold water showers. The facility was clean though. The camp hosts at the gate house were, helpful, polite and friendly. We paid $38 for the night at this Premium location with waterfront. No swimming allowed in the lake, but you can fish. Would stay here again for a pit stop, but since we cant bathe in the bathhouse I wouldn't recommend a long stay unless you had your own camper with shower ans toilet facility to use.
