The perfect spot for a romantic getaway for a couple looking for a lakeside retreat and a scenic walking trail through the pasture and woods. Enjoy the sunrise over the lake, shop in Tupelo or see Elvis' birthplace during the day, and enjoy a late evening walk around the property. It's the best decision you could make for your next trip!
Or, the best family trip you have every planned. See the look on your child's face when they catch a monster bass! Go with them to pet the horses, talk to the chickens, or hold the bunny rabbit. Moon Lake Retreat consists of 77 acres of woods, water, and pastureland. The lake is fully stocked with trophy bass, panfish, and catfish. If you walk on the south end of the property, you will see geese, cranes, and wood ducks. In the spring, you might even see a turkey strut!

Many sites decorated for Halloween. Even little trick or treaters. Many sites on the river. Cool to watch the working barges going by. And lots of armadillos.
This city campground has many beautiful lakeside campsites along Bear Creek. Sites are first-come, first-served. We camped here in mid-October and had no problems getting a site. The campground staff were friendly and helpful.
The site is gravel with large wooden beams surrounding it. We had to put a couple boards under the passenger side tires to level our rig; the site was pretty level from front to rear. Easy setup.
The campground was quiet during the evenings. Fire rings are not provided, so bring your own fire pit if you'd like a campfire.
The park WiFi worked well for us - strong signal, roughly 40mbps download speeds. Using T-Mobile, we had strong 5G service.
RV spots are suitable for car camping, although a bit close together with bright street lights and showers are outdated. Still, the camp host treated me kindly, and I enjoyed the scenery and walkability!
We loved the park. Great for walking our dogs. The only issue was the poor road maintenance in getting to our campsite. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay tremendously and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Clean, quiet and friendly. No actual WIFI but cell signals are strong. Will stay here again
From the get go at checking in we noticed how laidback and friendly the staff was. We stayed in #26 which has an incline to park the RV which wasn’t a big deal for us. We liked that on the passenger side are view was woods with the lake. The restrooms could used an updated for sure but still very usable. Fishing off the fishing docks was great! Spacing between sites is decent with trees between at most sites. Very friendly family quiet campgrounds.
Great camping nice and clean. Next time I’ll bring the kayak and do some fishing!
It's the perfect place to stop while traveling through. There are spacious spots, a short nature trail, a swimming area on the lake, and one good restaurant just down the road.
There are some spots right on the lake.
We stayed here with 3 dogs and it could not have been better! The bathhouse was amazing and we practically had the park to ourselves! Dogs loved running around smelling all the smells!
We were in site 4 on the lake. Beautiful view! Grounds could use some updating but we really enjoyed our stay here.

This is a very peaceful stop with 30 amp power and water available. Well kept and very nice host. John communicated with us perfectly. The land and lake are beautiful.
Stayed on a weekend in March. Campground was about 80% full. Bath and showers were clean. Concrete pad with adjacent gravel area for screen room, tent, etc. Laundry facilities were closed during our stay. Paved bike trail nearby. Limited walking trails within the campground. One dump station and trash collection area near the check-in. Good Verizon signal.
Beautiful place to camp and relax. Clean campsites and bathrooms. Nice hiking trails.
We had one of the primitive tent sites. It was great and hardly anyone else was at the park. Too cold for the water when we went. Bathrooms could have been nicer but better than nothing.
Nice park with 3 loops and a few short trails. Reservation on recreate.gov and my spot was $30 a night which feels a bit steep but seems to be the going rate. The spots are not private at all but there are trees.
This is a gravel parking lot with hook ups. Sites are extremely close together. Not my idea of "recreation".
Location is next to the freeway and yes, it is loud. Sites are close together, you CANNOT choose your site they will place you where they want. Staff not very friendly. Price is $55/night $50 for Good Sam Club.
Off the beaten path. Power and water available for reasonable price. Walking the property was fantastic for us and our dogs. We were fortunate to be there on the last Saturday of the month, when they host a dinner and live music. With just 7 of us, including the 2 hosts and the musician, it was a very neat experience. Even had a “sing along “!!!! This is why we love Harvest Hosts. You would never get an experience like this anywhere else.
$30 per night for full hookups. It’s just a parking lot but was we needed. Toured the Tiffin factory.
The campground was full for the fall holiday. However, the energy was great. It was our first time at the park. The hosts were very helpful. The showers and bathrooms are dated but clean. The best views are located on the water in the lots 80-85. Level spaces and easy to back in.

Park has huge potential! The refurbished sites are level and nicely laid out with water a sewer. The older sites not so much. Plenty of hiking trails, disc golf, fishing and kayaking available.
Last minute stop at this small muni campground/park. Clean grounds with friendly host. Photo from our site #7 overlooking the lake. Non campers kicked out at 8pm and gates are locked. All campers get a key for after hours entry/exit. Beautiful little spot.
Small campground attached to a public use park. Gated after dark with older but usable bathrooms and showers. Has a splash pad, a basketball court, and several piers on the lake for fishing. You can hear cows in the distance from across the lake.
Can’t beat the price at $22/night. We stopped in for a night in our teardrop trailer on our way farther up north.
Tupelo is 30 minutes away with the Elvis Birthplace museum and other attractions. There’s a gas station at the entrance to the park for snacks and ice.
