Chunky River Recreation

Very nice owners and well kept campground.

After some last minute changes the owners were accommodating to us coming after hours and able to put our 30ft travel trailer in a great spot next to their office. Convenient off interstate 20 without the sounds of the highway. 1 train came through at night, which was pretty cool to hear. Playgrounds and picnic pavilions by the river made for an enjoyable walk this morning and areas for our pups to get in the river made their day.

Spoke with the owners who built the campsite in 2006. They offer kayaking/canoeing on the river and could not have been more pleasant.

Right by the river. There is a train track right next to the park. Not too many trains went through at night. Very loud though. Quaint little campground. Very nice lady at the office. Water and electricity only. There is a dump station.

We stayed here and were the only people in the park. We stayed along the River and swam. No sewage, no alcohol...but the owners are super friendly and helpful. It was a great spot to just be in nature.

Quite little campground on the Chunky River. Electric and water hook ups at each site. Family oriented. Friendly staff. Bath house on site. Boat ramp for river access. Great for kayaking.

This is a great campground with a friendly staff and great atmosphere. The sites are spacious and most are extremely shaded. The grounds and restrooms are clean and well maintained.
