Nice, open site in off-season

Ended up staying on the horse site post-labor day when there were only other tent campers. Site is a wide open and well-groomed, with trails just a short walk (or ride) away.

Toilets and covered picnic tables nearby.

Wedding weekend

Stayed here for a weekend when our daughter got married. We had a great time. The campground was full but quite. The spots are far apart. Very clean grounds and amenities. Close to the lake. They have canoes, and Jon boats for rent.

Friendly staff

Woods and waters campground is a friendly family oriented campground. The facilities are well kept. There is a playground and pool. There is a pond to fish. They offer long term, short term and full time rates. Close to the interstate and shopping. It is close to the interstate and at times when…

Fantastic little campground

When we first arrived the campground had less than a half dozen other campers but as we got to the weekend it filled up quite nicely. The grounds remained very quiet. Nice large clean and level sites with great hookups. Large clean and cool bathhouse. Nice, easy, and pretty walk to where the KY…

A truly hidden paradise

They have many activities, but we were stopping just for the night. It was a campground I would definitely go back to.

Great weekend in Brown County

Stayed in the Taylor Ridge Campground at Brown County State Park. We had great weather and a great time. We have visited Nashville Indiana several times but this is our first time camping nearby. My wife loves to visit Nashville and all the little shops they offer. The park offers great trails and…

Hiking and History

We stayed during the week following Labor Day. We had no problem getting reservations and the check in process was easy. There is a pool, laundry room, and putt putt golf course. Our site, #39, was fairly level. We needed our entire length of water hose, 100 ft., to connect to the water spigot. The…

Beautiful park!

Our site was F33. Nice size. We had to navigate around the tree for our awning but it gave us some much needed shade for the heat. The comfort station closest to our campsite was clean and seemed well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

Fun stay, maybe a one and done

We spent a weekend here with a group. Our campsites backed up to each other so that was great to have extra room for the kids to run around. Sites are spacious, but quite a bit unlevel where we stayed. Some super nice campers helped us. Bring an extra long hose as the water hookups are very far…

Nice campground with awesome hiking

This place is a neat little campground. The campground is right near a river and there are a bunch of little waterfalls in the area that you can hike to. We stayed in a tent but there’s a bunch of electric sites for RVs as well. Bathrooms weren’t bad and had showers. Sites were large and flat, but…

First time; won’t be the last!

First time at Starve Hollow. Camped with a group of the family. Impressed with the showers and bathrooms, and cannot get over the large amount of shade trees! Was able to take the dogs and ourselves for a few hikes, the bait shop was a wonderful bonus. Only negative of the whole trip was the blue…

Nice camping on the river

We stayed in site 107 on a Sunday night and had the section all to ourselves. I think the place is quite busy on weekends though. Our son fished and we watched random people float down river. It was perfect for overnight stay passing through. I was concerned driving in as neighborhood looked a…

No longer Westward Ho.

I stayed at this area before it was renamed to Friends O' Mine. Was a nice place for a quick stop but being so close to the highway, was extremely loud. Half of the sites have shade and half do not. Cute little pond to walk around but I wouldn't recommend swimming.

This was perfect being only 20 minutes from our home. It was quiet and the bathrooms were super clean. The sites were flat and generous.
