Ross Camp, near West Lafayette, Indiana, is a cozy little campground that caters primarily to RV travelers. With a handful of sites, it’s a straightforward place to set up camp, especially if you’re looking for a no-frills experience with essential amenities like electric hookups and clean shower facilities.

The campground is known for its friendly vibe and well-kept grounds. Visitors have mentioned the modern shower house and the convenience of having drinking water available. One camper noted, “Clean, modern shower house,” which is always a plus after a day outdoors.

If you’re into stargazing, you’re in luck! The location is far enough from city lights that you can enjoy a clear view of the night sky. Just make sure to bring a telescope if you want to make the most of it. Plus, there’s a nice picnic table at each site, perfect for enjoying meals outside or just relaxing with a good book.

While the sites are on the smaller side, some can accommodate larger RVs, making it a decent choice for those traveling with bigger rigs. Just keep in mind that it’s not the best fit for tent camping, as the ground is mostly hard concrete or rocks. If you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind and enjoy nature without the distractions of a bustling park, Ross Camp is worth considering.

Small Local Campground

15 site campground, must call for reservations. Sites are on the smaller side but the higher number sites (13,14,15) can take larger RVs. Site 8 drops off quite a bit to the back so be sure to have appropriate leveling blocks. Clean, modern shower house.

RV yes, tent, no

Beautiful park. All sites are very close and covered with hard concrete or rocks. Best for RV or pull behind. All sites powered. Not recommended for tent camping.

Nice sites. Awesome shower house! close to Ross Park. A little chapel. This is a relax campground for those not into all the hiking if you just want to sit by your fire. A few primitive sites. No alcohol allowed. We rent a site here instead of hotels.
