My go to campground

I have never had a bad stay. I absolutely love camping here. The scenery is beautiful and I love how small the campground is.

Breathtaking Beautiful.

Down in the hills and hollers, is this beautiful campground and park. This place is beautiful and breathtaking. Very clean and super friendly staff. They do allow boats and the Knobstone trail is accessible here. I was very impressed and we definitely see ourselves coming back to this land of beauty. The only thing I can say that I didn’t like was how modern camping sites were very close together but we had great neighbors. The primitive camping sites looked a little more spaced out.

Delaney

Sites for rvs are concrete and you will need to level some on all of them. They have electric and water. Reasonable prices. Our only complaint is you can’t get near the water to fish anywhere by the lake due to the weeds.

Not what we expected

The electric and water hookups are not in standard locations for RV hookups. Make sure you bring an extension for your electric hookup, otherwise you might not be able to reach the post. Same for water hookup. We had a lakefront site, however it wasn’t lake view. Sites 12/13 do not have a view of the lake due to dense brush in front of it. All other lakefront sites have a view. There is not a camp store, so make sure you have all the supplies you need or you’ll have to make a trip to Salem, which is only about a 20 min drive. There’s excellent cell service, no WiFi. There are laundry facilities at the bath house.

Really Nice!

May 29 & 30th. Great place to camp, 20/25 mins down a heavily wooded country road so it’s secluded and quiet. The place was pretty full of campers, both tents and campers. The grounds were very well kept, with a nice but crowded swimming area. Every one was very friendly and I think almost every camper had a dog with them. I would come back and stay.

Great place for a family reunion!

First of all, I have to admit up front, we stayed at this campground during the hottest days on record, for that area. However the park is beautiful and well maintained. Each lot has water and electric. There is a dump station at the exit. The only negative comment about this park is, every lot slopes down towards the lake. If you have levelers, should not be a problem, but be sure to bring extra, because it's a good 3" to 5". We have a small class C and we had to raise the back end (facing the lake) off the ground with our hydraulic levelers. Good think we had leveling blocks to put under the wheels. Also, the decent into this park is steep and the road is narrow. I think there is one section that is close to 8%, however it's short. Verizon phone, Verizon mifi and Dish Satellite, all excellent. Nice thick grassy areas at each site, firepit, picnic table and plenty of room for tent or gazebo. Bathroom/showers very clean.

We were here for a family reunion and used the club house, which was very nice. They also have boat docks, outdoor pavilion, basketball court, beach and swimming area. I would not hesitate to stay here again, but in the cooler months so we could enjoy the trails.

great family camping

Delaney Park is a great family place .nice cabins good fishing and lots of boats to rent or bring your own. Camp how you like, from Primitive to Glam-ping. Its at the start to a Fifty mile trail ( Knobstone Trail) or you can do the Delaney Loop in about 6 hours. ( 7.5 miles and 2000 ft elevation change ) a good challenge for all ages. trail is well marked and maps at gate. Lots to do and also nothing to do. Bring whole Family and Friends for a great weekend or just a day
