TIGHT, bad customer service!

We actually stayed in a deluxe cabin at this campground, while our friends were in a camper. The deluxe cabins were $300 a night, very poor air circulation and constantly felt wet. Toilets were impossible to flush and were backing up every time a shower was taken.

Our friends have a 40' camper and could barely fit in the space provided. There was no space to hang out as their camper took up the entire space. If we wanted to start a fire, we couldn't because their fire pit (more like a rusted out ring) was directly under a tree.

Customer service was horrible - manager basically told us it wasn't their problem and wouldn't help the situation. We will not return.

Tight

Tight spots and narrow roads but convenient location. We had a 42 ft 5th wheel and with the help of an employee we were lucky to fit.

Quiet, peaceful, and clean.

The campground is well-kept, and the restrooms are clean. Some bath houses have full baths with toilets, sinks, and showers. Other bathhouses has restrooms separated from showers. The campground is kid friendly, with a playground and a pool. I am tenting. The sites are a reasonable size that you can park on. They are mostly flat, but not all of them. All the tent sites are shaded, have electricity, and access to shared water. There are dishwashing stations around the campground as well. If you have an RV, the sites look relatively easy to get into, with many pull throughs

Great stop!

Campground is super clean! Off the highway yet close enough to anything you want to do. When you check in, they give you a ton of coupons for the area.

Value is great! Full hookups for $73. Can’t argue with that!

If you get a site by the main road entrance, know there’s trains that rumble through. Not very quiet, but not enough to make you mad.

Pool and splash pad are perfect. Park is great for the kiddos. Staff is super accommodating and friendly.

Nightly and daily planned activities. Again, great for the kiddos.

Would definitely plan a trip here instead of an overnight layover.

Small clean campground

The staff is very friendly. This KOA is small. It has two levels and the upper level is nice decent hill to enter. The camp store is small. Very small playground and pool. Site we had was level. Downfall with most places in the Dells is internet is garbage.

Cramped, but friendly

I was just there for a night, but as I drove to my spot, I had to dodge and weave around cars parked on the road, as the tent sites looked like Burning Man had a baby with a homeless shanty town in Hawaii. Tons of tents, packed in side-by-side, so only space for cars was on the one-way roads. Outside of the feeling that at any moment a kid was going to come flying out of nowhere, they had good facilities, friendly staff, and decent Internet connection.

A beautiful Holiday KOA!

My girlfriends and I are just here fir one night as we make our way out west, but given the niceness of this place, I wish it were more. Very quiet campground with a mix of RV, tent, and small cabin sites, many of which are mixed in together and almost all of which have electric. Deb was great as she checked us in and sent a guy out to help us maneuver into our back-in spot, site 7.

Quiet, Peaceful, Clean

This is a Gem of a KOA. The campground is laid out really well, and it's very quiet and peaceful and clean. The only thing you have to deal with as far as noise is the freight train going down the tracks next to the campground a few times a day. The sites are decently sized, and they just redid all the picnic tables this year. The pool and splash pad are great for children of all ages as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Large campground

Very friendly staff and escort, at site daily trash pickup which is nice. Lots of kids, large playground and pool. Busy on weekends quiet and peaceful during the week. Higher prices due to tourist area, but would recommend. Clean laundry room.

First Family RV weekend

We stayed at KOA in Wisconsin dells, which was about a mile away from everything.  We called to RSVP. Which was a breeze. Finding are ticket and spot also a breeze which ended up being late in the night. They have an kids playground, and a heated pool with some little attractions attached for the kids. Bathrooms showers were CLEAN!! they also provided movie night on a project underneath a pavilion. Very quiet at night! Hookups for everything. Over all couldn’t of picked a better campground.

Close to the Dells action but jam packed in summer

Camping the in Wisconsin Dells area is always a challenge because there are such big crowds in the summer heading to the waterparks. If you are looking to stay in your camper while enjoying the Wisconsin Dells tourism, this KOA is fine. The lots are very small, but overall paved and level so you will have a quick set up. You are on top of your neighbor and your fire pit is close (too close) to all your stuff. There is a pool, but is was crazy crowded with obnoxious campers. If you have a camper (travel trailer, motorhome, pop-up) you should have everything you need for an in-town stay at the Dells. If you're in a tent, I wouldn't chose this campground and would stay further away from the main strip.

A not-so-crowded KOA

Stayed here on the way home from Yellowstone. Really frustrating to navigate, but all the good more private spots are in the back. Some of the full timers were annoying/drunk/rude as we made our way to our site, but otherwise not so bad. Bugs were definitely annoying too, but they make a spray for that.

Great KOA close to town

We were only here for one night but really enjoyed this campground. The back in site we had was very spacious and private. The bathrooms were in good shape and there was a lot of shade around the campground. This KOA has a nice pool area and is walking / biking distance to downtown Wis Dells. Only negative I can say is that the camp store was on the small side, but that’s a minor complaint. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Near The Wis-Dells

Small clean park. Super tight sites. Nice little pool and splash pad. Camp store and polite staff. They actually vacuum out the fire pits after each camper. Nearly no privacy, but you’re probably net here for the nature. Spendy but secure.

Good campground for families with kids

A central playground and pool are the biggest draws for families with kids. There's also a prospecting 'sluice' that you can buy for the kids to look for 'fossils' and interesting rocks.

The campground is located just north of the main attractions of Wisconsin Dells.

Campsites are not overly generous in size -- typical KOA, where some are 'stacked like cordwood'. Don't go there if you want any privacy from your neighbors.

Cabins are available for those wanting to 'camp' without a camper.

Very small dog park area.

Friendly check in staff. However, we were given a map with our campsite noted and told to wait for a person driving a golf cart to escort us and help us get situated. We waited...and waited...and waited...golf carts came and went, but passed us by. We finally gave up waiting and found out site by ourselves.

Great location, close to everything but on a private road away from noise

My family and I stayed at this Wisconsin Dells KOA location for two nights (site 61) as the first stop on a 3+ week trip, and it fully met our expectations. The hosts and office workers were very nice when we checked in and each time we visited the large camp store / office, and the campground itself was one of the nicest KOAs we’ve camped at. Our site was level and had everything we needed (fire ring, picnic table, electric), and was across the road from a wonderful bathhouse / restroom. The facilities were very clean, and we appreciated that the showers (3 or 4, including a handicap one and a family one) each had separate entrance doors - you don’t see that often. The kids loved the pool and splash pad as well.

This was our first time to the Wisconsin Dells area and I’m not a huge fan of ‘tourist trap towns’, so I liked the fact that the KOA was actually located about a mile and a half down a side road off one of the main routes in the area. The main reason we chose to stop here was to visit the water parks, specifically Noah’s Ark, and the ‘largest waterpark in the US’ (and Wisconsin Dells is known as the ‘water park capital of the US’) did not disappoint. It was not the ‘nicest’ water park we’ve ever been to, but the rides were great and everyone had an absolute blast.

On a bit of a whim, I bought tickets to the night-time Tommy Bartlett show on nearby Lake Delton since the water park closed relatively early. They bill it as a “ski, sky, and stage” show; I had never heard of it prior to arriving in Wisconsin Dells, but apparently it’s a bit of a Big Deal for the area. We were a bit skeptical, but honestly everyone in our family loved it - it was a great time. The first hour or so is a water ski stunt show with a bunch of different acts doing all kinds of different stuff on the water and over the jumps (including a clown that was actually funny, and I’m pretty sure that’s the first time I’ve ever said that about a clown), and the second hour is almost like a miscellaneous ‘talent show’ style production, also with a variety of acts including the famous ‘Christian and Scooby’ from America’s Got Talent. All-in-all, it was just FUN, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

For food in the area, we ate at High Rock Cafe in downtown Wisconsin Dells and the Dells Pizza Lab closer to the KOA, and I would highly recommend both. The cafe is great with reasonable prices and some healthier options and some great draft options. The Pizza Lab I was a little hesitant about because I thought it sounded too kid-oriented, but it was awesome. Really fantastic custom pizzas (and salads), or you can go with one of their own creations. They ALSO had great beers on draft, including our favs from New Glarus Brewing.
