This is a lovely campground! The spots are spacious and tree covered. Many loops are great for tents (our favorite!) It’s full, but doesn’t feel crowded and the guests were quiet. The RV loop has gravel pads and some have enough room to squeeze in a tent. It’s gravely though so be prepared if…
We have a camper van 20 ft long. Our first site was way too short and along a road. Second site was better much more private but very un-level. They limited where you could walk your dogs only on a certain loop. It was pouring rain and mud was everywhere. Deep woods sites.
Very friendly park staff. Extremely helpful
This is truly a spectacular campground. Spacious separation between lots, very well kept, the bathrooms are immaculate. An absolutely beautiful setting on the crest of a mountain. There are 3 trails you can take right within the campground. The downside is no cell service for Verizon. I don’t take…

Very nice campground, the road though smooth the berm drops at roads edge so watch your trailer wheels. Just a couple miles away is Coopers Rock beautiful scenic views. We’ll be back

I’ve been going to coopers rock campground for 25 years and it’s always a clean, pleasant experience. You’re definitely not going to have the privacy that some campgrounds can provide but in terms of facilities, it’s overall a clean and safe experience.
Stayed at the Kentuck campground just outside of the town. The campsites are nice. Adequate room, clean bathrooms, and overall a good campground. For us, it wasn't within hiking distance from the main attractions or hiking trails. The campsite sits on top of a long hill with really no room to walk…
Oh the LHHT. What can I say. You are beautiful. And a beast. And breathtaking. Rafting in the yough is lovely as well. Such a fun area!
The lake offers great relaxation and the trails around the lake offer pretty views. Only wish that there were more trails available because it’s so beautiful in that area!!!
This is my absolutely favorite go-to weekend exploration spot. She never looks the same, and every season has a new vista to offer

The McCollum Campground at Coopers Rock State Forest is a great place to stay. The sites are nicely spaced apart, the camp staff is helpful, and the showers are very clean. The camp Wi-Fi isn't the best but we did have cell service with Consumer Cellular (AT&T Towers) and were able to work…

We stayed here November 21, 2020 (in the midst of Covid).
The campground had no water hookups, about 90% of the sites were not level (and....I mean by A LOT).
We were one of the only people in the campground, so we ended up just moving to one of the more level campgrounds.
It's a cute…
It's a nice wooded park with asphalt roads. The sites are some what close to each other but the wooded areas between the site give you a level privacy. Our site, as well as a number of others, wasn't particularly level. I parked our trailer halfway in because if I had gone all the way back I would…
