Little Coal River Retreat is your perfect getaway located in Julian, West Virginia! Nestled just 4.2 miles from the Hatfield-McCoy Ivy Branch Trailhead and directly across from Waterways Water Park, our campground is ideal for families looking to enjoy a fun-filled summer day.
We offer 20 full hook-up campsites, each equipped with electric, sewer, water, a picnic table, and firepit. For those who prefer a more rustic experience, we also have tenting sites with or without electricity available. For those seeking a bit more comfort, we have a cozy cabin that sleeps six people. The cabin features a private bath stocked with towels and washcloths, a kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, hot plates, air fryer, coffee pot, and a selection of pots and pans. The living room area includes a 2-person sleeper sofa and a smart TV, while the bedroom is furnished with a full bed and 2 twin bunk beds, complete with linens. Relax on the porch or gathers around the campfire for a perfect evening. By spring 2025, we plan to add another 6-person cabin to our offerings.
Our campground also boasts a small convenience store, separate men's and women's bathhouses with 3 shower stalls each, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. All our sites are riverfront, providing easy access to the Little Coal River for kayaking, tubing, canoeing, and fishing.
