Second Visit just as great

I came back for the second time in as many months. The owner reached out on the day I was arriving to let me know she was heading out for the weekend and ask if I needed any firework delivered before she left.

Campground was quiet just like last time. Really only saw one other person the entire weekend.

Amazing Stay

We just got back from a few days at Middle ridge campground and it is now one of my favorite campgrounds. The owners are attentive, stopping by each day to check on us and see if we needed anything. The pool is well maintained, as are the restrooms. We were at site 14 which is right across from the pool. The site was a great size and well laid out.

I camp a few times a month, different places each time, and this is one of a few that I will return to.

Wooded, Family-Oriented, Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I have stayed at Middle Ridge Campground many times since 2005. The campground is family owned and operated by the Drapers, and the family atmosphere can be felt throughout.

We've stayed in a number of the campsites and I can't say I have a favorite. Each has its own landscape and piece of the woods. With picnic tables and fire rings, each site is well-maintained and ready for the next campers. And of course, what's better than a campfire with s'mores? :)

From hiking and swimming, to fishing and birdwatching, the campground has something for everyone big and small, young and old. It is a true haven for outdoor/nature enthusiasts.

If you enjoy photography, don't forget to bring your camera. I spent a weekend in the early spring one year after a rain taking lots of photos of all the different types of mushrooms that sprang up. I also saw my first pair of pileated woodpeckers here in the woods and have photos of a spotted fawn that I treasure.

If you love being in the woods where the occasional deer or flock of turkeys walks by (if you're quiet), book your next camping trip at Middle Ridge Campground. It is a hidden gem!

Nature at its best

We have spent a lot of time at Middle Ridge and loved it.  Peaceful and accommodating. Wonderful walk to the pond and the property around is beautiful.   The owners are very helpful since we began our camping experience with them.  Highly recommend this campground.

Great no stress Campground

We have travelled many times to WV and usually include the Middle Ridge Campground for a few nights or more. It is not near a main highway unless you call Route 50 through Romney a main highway. It is west of town up a curved mountain road. It is on the top area of "Middle Ridge" mountain.

The views are fantastic as you drive into the campground. once you check in at the office,  the owners will direct you to your campsite. I have seen most types of rigs, from to tents to 5th wheel and numerous Class A, B and C campers. The place is laid back, quiet and somewhat remote. The greatest place to "get away from it all".

For activities, in summer, a lovely well maintained pool, picnic areas, hiking and biking. Even when they are full, you don't feel crowded. The owners, Shelly and Terry are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

SiteI don't recall the site number we used but we have had several.

Family - peaceful - beautiful - fun

An awesome go to campground for the family. We've been going for years. Everyone loves it - there is something for everyone from hiking, swimming, outdoor games,  fishing, watching the donkeys or just enjoying the fire pit in the evenings. The views are spectacular! PS They have sites for your trailer, tent and even a cabin to rent. The bathhouse is clean too (a big plus)...

Michele,

It has been a pleasure all these years!

We have loved having you guys here and watching your children grow up enjoying the fun and outdoors.

Great as a stopover campground

I camp in my tent so i chose a smaller, secluded site close to the restrooms.  The restrooms were very clean and easily accessible.  I went during the week and the campground was very quiet. The owner was very nice.
