Dry, clean, every spot level, good cell service
We loved this river spot even though we were next to one of the smaller parts rather than the main river. If you can try and get one near the main river as it is more picturesque.
Facilities were clean and well looked after. We had a nice time here.
Short walk into town - couldn't find decent shortcut that wasn't for mountain goats so perhaps just walk along the road to the town. The brewery was a good night out.
We were fortunate and had the place to ourselves. The site was level and clean. There were plenty of options that had fire rings. I’m sure this place would be busy on the weekends or other times during the season. We had a nice dark sky for star gazing. We’ll definitely stop here again.
Great hideaway with plenty of dispersed sites. I spent two days here and only seen a handful of vehicles drive through, mostly US Forest Service trucks. Pack in, pack out. No toilets, showers, or water so bring in everything you need. 14 days of free camping every 30 days. A great find to get away from it all.
This pin took me to private property and the owner wasn't too happy about it and me being there. The actual Owl Canyon Campground is down the road to the East of the pin. There are two pins for Owl Canyon Campground, one is correct and this one listed as Rainbow Basin Owl Canyon Campground is incorrect
Our campsite was right on the river, which was nice. We only stayed one night, but would consider returning
I was hesitant about this site because it’s right off the road, but we actually really liked it! It’s literally a big open desert flat and you park wherever so there’s plenty of room for privacy. As far as facilities, there are 2 privies and that’s it, so you’ll be dry camping. Some sites are more trashed so watch for broken glass but overall it’s pretty clean. There are plenty of man made fire pits. Star gazing was on point! Sunrises and sunsets were also pretty dope. It’s a OHV staging area so there’s lots of people dirt biking in the morning but we were up by the time there started zooming around. We’d def stay here again for a night of rest after a day of driving.
Very beautiful campground. Cannot camp there overnight currently because of covid. However, it’s still a nice place to spend the day with picnic tables, restrooms, and fire pits. Views are gorgeous.
Lots of land and trails. Great place to boondock. BLM management
Super chill areas are perfect if you need to pull off and get rest. Nothing offered here so pack out what you pack in. I saw a lot of groups of people so crowds are welcomed.
