Dusty Park overpriced for what you get.
We arrived Fourth of July weekend and the drive down to the campground is absolutely stunning! We stayed at site 120 which was very spacious and partially shaded. The river was a lot lower than I have seen the past few times I have been here 4 years ago. Therefore there was a lot of people playing…

So we were typically boondockers but when the recent forest closures took effect we felt like nowhere to go. Luckily, Sequoia and Kings NP is open. So drove there from San Diego. It was a 6 hour drive. We went to the cisitors center per park rangers advice to get a decent phone signal and we were…

I've been camping at Fairview Campground on the Kern for over 15 years and look forward to it every year. The prices are fair, it's right on the river and is the perfect starting point for floating. It is also directly next to McNally's restaurant, which has been such a blessing after some long…
First spot in the park. Wonderful swimming hole. Easy to access and quaint site. Trails and nearby restaurants.
Not close enough to nature. Sketchy characters hang around. Facilities are not cared for.
What I love about Hume is the classic vibe. There is a little burger/shake shack by a lake with recreational activities. The weather is nice and elevation provides beautiful star gazing.
This campground is sort if basic. It is very close to town as its the first campground in the Sequoia Park. The swimming hole is unmatched, complete with rope swing. Very accessible and even bear sightings. Trails and lots of shade.
Our family has been going to Camp James for over 10 years, and it's easily our favorite campground in California. The campsites are clean, shaded by trees, and it's right on the riverfront. During the high season, it's fun to watch kayakers and whitewater rafters screaming down the rapids. But our…

A really nice drive along the river takes you right to this campsite.
Some parts of the campground were very quiet, some parts were busier. If your site is close enough to the water, you’ll hear frogs and critters at night which I loved.
Close to lots of recreation and activities places to…

A party place in mid august. Lots of louder groups that were up late into the night.
Site 84 was technically approved for a trailer over 10 feet, but a serious squeeze to get our trailer and explorer to fit within the lines.
Some restrooms were closed, and the open ones were very crowded at…

Beautiful and quiet little campground with sequoia trees all around. Saw deer in and around the campground almost daily. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.
My family stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. We have a 32 foot travel trailer. During peak months, reservations were required (opens one month in advance). There's a threaded water spigot attached to the bathroom toward the front of the campground. The others weren't threaded for a hose. It…
Fairly close to Kings canyon NP. Campsites are a bit close to other campers/RVers, but overall, a nice site.
Overall, love the campiste and yes its true there isnt much in regards to having trees or a scenic view. However, we were able to camp so close to the river and wasn't bad in regards to pulling you in or anything. Must admit i loved it and so did my fiance. We wanted the camping 🏕 experience but…
