Was okay, didn't end up staying due to limited spots available. Close to water, sites are wooded. There are 10 drive up sites and 6 walk in sites.
This was one of the best place to spend a long weekend with your Friends & Family. We booked cabin for group of 8 people, and room was pretty good enough for all of the members. They have plenty of activities to do including River Rafting. New River Gorge bridge was amazing specially Long point…
I would hands-down stay here again. I even considered asking if they needed some seasonal help!
I needed a place close to the town and gorge for a basecamp.
The fact that they had reliable WiFi throughout the park was a huge bonus for a remote worker.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and the…

Nice, at the lake but not on the lake. There’s no swimming. No reservations. Friendly staff, nice sites, 54 full hook up, 6 no hookups
Great stay at Holly River State Park
It's hard to beat a free campsite right on the river.
Got lucky to find a site here after trying both Grandview Sandbar and Glade's Creek on the other side of the road.
No AT&T service so I only stayed two nights (gotta work during the week!).
Still, it wasn't crowded and I enjoyed evening…
They over charged me, I left at 10:40pm because of frustration with the campground shower house going on a week & 2-3 days, out of order. They wouldn't refund my $24.95 for the one night (mind u we stayed almost 4 was nightly) & asked for a refund because the raccoons broke our tent zipper…
Staying in section 2. It looks to be very new. Fresh gravel at every site and the road. sites are very big and spaced far apart from your neighbor. Also has many pull thru sites.

This is my fiance and I's favorite spot. The tent area I stay in Is very spacious and often you cant see any neighbors unless traveling to the shower house, with regular toilets electric and more. If you need amenities like a shower but like a private, primitive, woodsy feel this is the place. …
I stayed 3 nights, and first two were fantastic. On the 3rd night a vehicle parked in the boat ramp lot and blasted music started at 2am, lots of yelling. I heard from several people that the walk-in spots can get pretty rowdy with locals. The pull-in spots were fine. Picnic table, fire ring,…
Beautiful but small campground. There are probably only 10 spaces, one is handicap only. Spaces are relatively close together and the drive down the valley to it is relatively steep - our sprinter van still made it. If the camping areas are full you could stay in the adjacent parking lot beside the…
Tent spots have the best access to and views of the river, which is glorious. Car spots lack the view, but they're quiet. Trains passing in the night are oddly soothing. Lots of damp in and after a rain.
We are new RV ers so we asked Ken for help to get to our site. He walked with our RV behind him, so nice!
We stayed here for 2 nights (site #19). It’s not a secluded experience so if privacy is what you’re looking for this isn’t the place for you.
The extremely accessible pull-throughs are strategically placed in a semi-circle/horse shoe. The entire park is very clean, sites are level and ample…

Nice quiet campground the site we stayed in was in a great location had a little stream running across the back side only downside was its not level by no means but i was still able to get the camper leveled up and enjoyed the site. It would Be nice if they would at least build a level pad for the…
