Really nice like a resort. Tennis courts, swimming pool (closed for winter), horse shoe pit, laundry mat, disc golf, and awesome clean bathrooms. Very nice sites and BEAUTIFUL cabins. Great piers on a very nice lake with big, beautiful cypress trees. Just a beautiful, hilly campground on a gorgeous lake.. Lots of trails. They have been doing some improvements such as cutting trees while we were there but an awesome park!
Small park, lots of trees and walking/mtn bike trails. Beautiful lake, ducks, fishing piers, swimming beach, playground. Campground is right on the lake. No bad Rv spots! Spots have concrete pads. Full hookup. They take reservations, but not for a particular spot. A really wonderful place to get away! Staff very friendly.
Spaces are large and well spaced for privacy. Beautiful lake views. The only negative is the rediculous fire pits. Obviously designed by someone who never experienced camping or a campfire. The pits are 2 feet tall, solid steel with NO air holes. Fires never burn and even if they did you wouldn't see the fire anyway. We bring our own pit. Bathrooms and showers are clean and we'll maintained. The host is friendly and helpful.
Really nice primitive spots with fire pits as well as RV spots.
Clean restrooms and showers.
11 mile trail system for hiking/mt bike. Exceptional mt bike course.
Big lake with beach(seasonal). Big Playground for young kids.
The campsites are huge, many with water views, and spaced out well. Very quiet and starry at night. Decent hiking trails and fishing/boating/swimming at the lakes. Only 29 sites but a real nice spot to get away.
Town of Minden has all your grocery needs, drug stores, hardware & chain restaurants.
Great golf course about 35 minutes away in Arcadia.
The hosts, Larry and Wendy, are friendly and helpful. The spots are gorgeous. Clean, trashcans at each spot. Good bathrooms. Just wonderful.
Pick your site from what’s open. Sites backing to water are amazing. Have gated patio overlooking the water. All concrete pads with full hook ups. Easy check in! Nice trails.
We loved Lincoln park. Great tent areas with a CLEAN bath house pretty close. Real shaded areas. Very clean and kid friendly. It’s gated and locked at night which is nice. Next time we are bringing our bikes for the paved walking trail. Really enjoyed this site.
Great US Forest Service campground especially if you enjoy hiking, biking or fishing. The Sugar Cane National Recreation Trail loops around the lake. The campground is a loop with approximately 30 large and level sites with electric and water hookups. Some are on the lake and some more wooded. All feel very private and spacious. There’s a dump station nearby. The sites are $25/night.
