Ouachita RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting just off I-20 in Monroe, Louisiana, Ouachita RV Park functions primarily as a full-hookup stopover for travelers moving through the region. Pull-through sites accommodate rigs up to 75 feet, and multiple reviewers note the sites run level, with gravel and grass options available. The park operates year-round and accepts reservations, making it a reliable overnight anchor for those passing through northeast Louisiana.

Noise is a common concern for highway-adjacent parks, but several visitors report hearing more birds than traffic. A lake borders the property, providing open sightlines over the water at sunset. The park also hosts a number of long-term residents, including students and traveling medical workers, which gives it a settled feel rather than a purely transient one. A recreation room with a pool table, piano, and board games adds a communal space that distinguishes it from a basic RV lot. As Jeff B. puts it, the park is "clean, quiet and very easy to get in and out of."

Amenities include full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus a dump station, laundry, WiFi, and showers. Conditions have varied across reviews, with some noting dated but well-maintained bathrooms and others reporting odor and cleanliness issues at different points in time, so expectations should be calibrated accordingly. The park is within reach of Pecanland RV Park and other campsites around Monroe if this location is full. Campers who want more of a wildlife setting can look east toward Russell Sage Wildlife Management Area for a different experience. For a one-night stop with full hookups and easy highway access, this park covers the basics.

A Great Place!

Check in was super easy. I made reservation in advance and it was ready when I got there. The bathroom and showers were clean. The park was quiet at night. I would stay again if I were passing through.

Ok for overnight

Nothing fancy, but good for an overnight. Clean and seems safe. Right on I20, so expectable highway noise. Looks to be quite a few long term folks here but RVs are nice. Grassy spots. No tables, just hook ups. Cute playground. While there is a shower chair in the bath house, facilities are not wheelchair/ADA accessible as there is a 4” concrete step to access bathroom. Lots of bugs (gnats and mosquitos) but this IS Louisiana, so that is to be expected. Nice lake next door, looks good for fishing and probably where the biting bugs are coming from, lol. Would stay here again for just one night of passing thru.

Cute for an overnight stop BUT

This is a cute stop. Nice long pull through site and pretty level. Prices are very reasonable for full hookups. Telephone customer service was great when we kade our reservation. BUT the sewer hookups aren’t capped and there is a definite odor. The bathrooms are NASTY. Smell like urine and there is black mold across the back wall and floor in the showers. There is dog poop everywhere!

excellent overnight stay

we just did an overnight pitstop.  nice little campground, our site was LEVEL!!!  gravel site, pulled in, put the truck in park and we were almost perfectly level.  nice and quiet.  we didn't use any facilities, but the outside looked nice and well kept.  would definitely stay there again.  loves truck stop across the interstate.

Nice little park

New owner was especially nice as well as office staff. We were delayed in arriving due to trailer repairs needed. They held our spot and we arrived at sunset. Love the space between sites!!! The park needs some work, but new owner was excited about getting started. Hope to stop again in the future.

Convenient

This little RV park is less than 5 minutes off I - 20 in north east Louisiana. Being that close, I thought it would have been really loud, but it wasn't! I heard more birds than anything. The park does have several longterm campers, students and traveling medical staff mostly, but it was very peaceful. The park has a recreation room with a pool table, books, lots of board games, and a piano. It's slightly dated, but extremely clean and well stocked. There is a camp host there who was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers are dated, but extremely well taken care of and clean. Large washroom also available.

Easy Access

Was stopped for the night in Monroe. Called and made a quick reservation with a very nice lady. Park is clean, quiet and very easy to get in and out of. Used the laundry and all was clean and operational. Pretty campground.

Beautiful location and high quality park

Right off of I-20 and on a scenic lake that the sun sets over. The mall is right across the interstate with many good restaurants. There are bathrooms and showers, a nice playground, basic RV supplies for purchase, pull through sites, full hookups, the office has a full kitchen, pool table, piano, and event room. I stayed long term and there were several other college girls staying there for school (like I was). The staff took good care of us and made a priority out of putting us all near each other. There is a full time maintenance staff, dumpster and dump station. It is a KOA park.

Great overnight 👍

Stayed 1 night in site 26, PT FHU on grass. Close to the interstate, quiet and beautiful sunset next to the pond, safe and tons of big pull thrus. This is our second time staying here. We did not use the amenities as we are self-sufficient and did not meet the staff as we were in/out after hours. It rained all night and was a little wet; the sites are grass. Will def stay again 👍
